Everything was so well planned for our anniversary stay. Gorgeous hotel and room, and amazing staff.

Hotel was very nice and central in Bakewell. Do check though when booking a double room as these are not in the main hotel building and across the road above the car park meaning you have to get fully dressed and walked across in the rain to use the facilities and restaurants. The entrance to the room is more like a motel than a *** a night hotel. Something to check before booking!

We stayed at the Rutland Arms in Bakewell we looked at a lot of hotels on line & found that this appealed to the both of us, the location is brilliant among the Hustle & busle of Bakewell the Deluxe Suite looked very grand & we wanted to treat ourselves as it had been a very long time that we had been away.
Everything was spot on from checking in to having to leave. We will be visiting again in the near future. We can definitely recommend to anyone if your looking for a holiday or a short stay to us there is no better place to stay.
A massive thankyou to all who helped in making our break a really special one. X
6.4 / 10Average·Sep 2025
We stayed at the Rutland Arms in September 2025, we paid *** for a two night stay. The room is incredibly basic and we found the bedding itchy. There is also no fridge in the room. Given we were on the top floor despite having the window open for the duration of our stay the heat in the room was often unbearable. Additionally the shower was not very powerful. Had the accommodation been more reasonably priced for what it was I could have provided a higher rated review but at *** a night I would have expected a lot more. We ate in the restaurant one evening, we asked on three occasions for water before this was brought to us and were already on our main course. The food was mostly overcooked and unenjoyable. As a positive it is very conveniently located to most things you would want to access in the Peak District.
