Gem of a house in Bakewell

We loved everything about this place, it's such a gem in Bakewell. Beautifully decorated, everything you need in terms of facilities, and in a wonderful location - we will definitely be back! The cherry on top was the fabulous gift basket that was waiting for us on arrival, it was such a lovely touch. The breakfast included was brilliant, even included vegan options for me! And within walking distance of Haddon Hall, where we had booked tickets to visit the Christmas market.

Love it, ❤️ perfect for us.

I love the place, the location, the furnishings, the breakfast and how friendly everyone was. Wish we could stay longer and I'll be rebooking. Slept so well and my teenagers loved it.

My only true concern was the mattress / bed strength. Both hubby and I are larger and I was worried that the mattress sunk when sat on and the slatted bed base didn't seem strong. Could be a me thing. There was dishwater in some of the bowls in the cupboard which was weird.

Very convenient location and parking close by. Welcome pack was a lovely touch.

Musty/stale smell in the downstairs area, was a little off putting. A second loo roll wouldn’t have gone astray… bought a few & left for next guests :)

Lovely cosy, well equipped cottage.

Very well furnished, lots of kitchen equipment, cutlery, plates etc. Nice to have milk, bread, wine and a sweet treat on arrival. Lovely log burner with plenty of wood.

Everything. The accommodation was excellent, clean, modern, comfortable and in a really good location. The welcome gifts were amazing and the free breakfast as part of the package was really good. Usually a free breakfast is a couple of pastries or some toast, but with this package we could chose from a full breakfast menu with a variety of choices. It saved us at least £150 over three days.

Excellent accommodation, so clean and comfortable, all facilities, very central plus parking and a lovely welcome basket. No fuss check in and out at the Bakewell Pudding shop plus breakfast included each morning. Would highly recommend.
