Handy for Bakewell, Chatsworth and Haddon Hall. Interesting property, originally an eye-catcher cottage, in the landscape around Wyedale House, later extended in the 1980s. The room was clean and comfortable and equipped with everything you need. Breakfast was tasty and filling.
Being told breakfast was at 8.45 and despite ordering our choices the night before, it took an hour to finish breakfast.

A lovely large, comfortable room and bathroom. Beautiful cottage and gardens. Very quiet and private with great views. Breakfast cooked by Ivan was delicious.
WIFI kept dropping out and was very weak. The radio was very loud at breakfast.

Location was nice and surroundings looked lovely.
Restrictions in place regarding where you could and couldn't go made it feel like you were in a prison and were constantly being watched by the owner. Reviews of breakfasts from previous guests made it sound exceptional but we found it to be an ok breakfast nothing more, and for the total price of the stay made it seems like you were paying a premium for it.
