It is quite a good location close to Santa Teresa and the Gloria metro station which can quickly take you to Centro or to the beaches. The staff is friendly, the caipis at Happy Hour are really nice and the breakfast is also lovely.
The dorms are small and the AC + the fan were on constantly and it was very cold and noisy, I was almost not able to sleep. On the 2nd night I asked for a blanket and it was better. The bathrooms are okay but very little space in the toilet under the stairs.

I paid for breakfast and took some of the tours, but paid the tour companies. I think the location was excellent because it was very close to the metro subway. The staff was very nice and very helpful in telling us the events going on and details about them.
If I had to pick one thing that could have been better I would say the showers could have been better, with better curtains and better door.

I didn't find the location very good... I always felt unsafe in the zone (it was honestly a deal breaker for me). I was in Leblon the week before and I felt much safer.
The bathroom wasn't very tidy, always flooded.
The vibe of the hostel didn't match 100% mine, but it's a personal opinion.
