Great people, atmosphere and breakfast, but the hostel is very dirty and in need of renovations fine for a short budget

People volunteering/ working as well as ladies making breakfast are absolutely the nicest , hostel is really social, a lot of activities are organised throughout the day, it’s a great place to get to know people especially solo travellers, also breakfast is amazing for the hostel standards

The hostel is very dirty. There is visible mould in several areas, and someone in another room had bedbugs during my stay. The mixed bathrooms smell awful, at times like someone has just vomited.

Dirty - not just the room, felt like the hole place needs a makeover. Can‘t understand how everyone is rating them so high. The price-value is to poor compare to other places in Rio. Example: Ipanema Very noicy as the main area is like an inner courtyard Aircon was not working Room smelt like a smoker room No informations from the staff about the area or the tours or the city

Fun, nice breakfast, nice parties, quiet during the night, which helped me to sleep good to party later

Great stay in Lapa.

There was a community vibes and the staff were amazing. It is quite close to the historic centre and bars in Lapa. Breakfast was good. There was a bar in the ground floor which is quite handy if you prefer the safe environment of the hostel whilst also meeting other travellers

An electric kettle could do wonders and it is cheap! Please have one!

Great social hostel

The staff were super friendly and helpful and they were very welcoming and forthcoming with tips for the area. The hostel also organises nights out and trips which were really fun and there was a great mix of people. The courtyard seating area is also really well laid out so it is very easy to chat and meet people. We really liked Lapa as an area, it feels very local and there was a fun social atmosphere and good live music in the area every night. The room was very good value, the area is close to downtown sightseeing, near enough to to metro or only a short taxi ride to the SugarLoaf, Copacabana and Ipanema.

A nice&cool hostel for young people, location is far from the beach and it's really unsafe in Rio.

The bar was very good, cheap prices for good caipirinhia. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I meet a lot of good people, i liked the whatsapp-groupchat and that we did a lot together.

The accommodation was too far away from the beach, I realized too late. The kitchen is very, very simply furnished, I think it's a pity that you can't use the toaster in the evening. The recommendation for the laundry wasnt very helpful, i didnt want self-service.

It is a party hostel with happy hour caipirinhas and very well located in the vibrant Lapa neighborhood in Río. Breakfast was good.

better than I expected

very good location to stay in. the staff are amazing and very involved with everyone. the set up of the hostel is also perfect if you want a place with a good vybe for night (and day) but also if you want to chill out and relax up in the dorms.

This is an amazing party hostel located in the heart of Lapa with amazing nightlife. The hostel is equipped with friendly staff and good facilities. Despite this being a party hostel, it's still possible to get a good night's sleep aswell

They didn't offer a laundry service which was the only annoying aspect. They really should offer this service as it is commonly offered in the majority of hostels.

The staff are great. This is a good hostel if you are travelling solo, very friendly guests and staff. They have parties at night but they stop at 11ish, you can then go out with staff and other guests if you want.

Nothing. Some people may be put off a bit by the area but the hostel is very secure and just don't wonder around waving valuables about and you'll be fine

Worth staying - good breakfast, near to tourist attraction

Staff 10 Breakfast 10 Location near to escadaria selaron, cathedral, and aqueduct- 10 Transport bus or uber - 10 Lots of nearby resto and supermarket .. They allowed me to have early check which allows me to have a nap before exploring the neighbourhood Though the neighbourhood can be a little sketchy - just DO NOT bring out your mobile from your bag when walking around at Lapa area and you will be fine

Just the party noise after 8pm... I do understand that there is a bar downstairs which opens at night... Eventually I adjusted myself from the noise and still can sleep even with a noise...
