Exceptional redecorated suites, but pricey.

The newly renovated suites are exceptional. We were very impressed with the overall standard of the room, as well as the well-stocked fridge and amenities.

Overall, the accommodation was expensive however it was in keeping with the rates for the area at the time of booking.

Comfortable, felt seen and heard, would love a repeat.

The location is central and great walking access to every where. Literally two mins walk from Kilkenny Castle. The room was quiet, warm, very comfortable. Reception was helpful and solved all queries. Breakfast was amazing with choice as well as very tasty. Just one thing, the evening menu was very limited. We had a beautiful carrot and ginger soup for lunch served with Guinness bread. An experience not to be missed. Overall, I highly recommend staying here when you are in Kilkenny. It has a safe and private car park too.

Evening menu. There was little choice so we ended up going out for a beautiful dinner else where. We initially wanted to stay at hotel but as there was nothing on the menu that said Eat Me we went out.

Great location to Kilkenny Castle and all the shops and restaurants and beautiful view of the castle

The location was exceptional on a very quaint street leading to lots of shops and restaurants just blocks away. Also very close to Kilkenny Castle which we toured and our room had fabulous view of the castle which was special and especially at night all lit up. I so appreciated having a bath tub in the room as I did not have a bath tub at any other place we stayed in Ireland and really missed it with my bad back. Thank you for the bath tub. And the Irish breakfast was delicious and healthy.

Only issue we had was our breakfast to go was not ready for us early in the morning when we had to leave for the airport. That was disappointing but they issued us a prompt refund since we had prepaid for breakfast with the room. Other than that everything was great!

Spacious rooms in the centre of town

The hotel is located in a central location with car parking a very short walk from the hotel. The rooms were spacious. The bathroom was large and had a walk in show. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options to pick from.

This was our first night in Ireland and they set they overall bar very high!

This hotel was in the middle of the City Center within walking distance to everything. The hotel is small and high end. elegance. The room was one of the best rooms we stayed. All high quality bathrooms and accessories- towels, hot water, hair dryers, etc, The front desk personnel was some of the best as well. They were able to store our luggage since we arrived before check-in time. They were so helpful, with their recommendations - places to go see, to eat, etc. Breakfast was outstanding with natural ingredients.

Worth the detour to Kilkenny to wake up with a Castle View

The view of the palace from our room was incredible - breathtaking really. The room itself was classy, modern, very clean. There were exquisite paintings from local artists throughout the hotel, but also in the rooms. The furniture and all the amenities were amazing. The breakfast was very good. The location was very central to everything cool to see in Kilkenny.

Location to town was so convenient. The size and comfort of the rooms was great. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were amazing. Having access to the lounge for tea and coffee anytime was a bonus.

Expensive stay - paying more for location than amenities

Location and parking were excellent. The room was good but just nothing over and above. We did not have breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment.

Too expensive for the amenities provided, even with the excellent location ex. the lobby was minimal and no common spaces to be in other than bar/restaurant.

there were two lifts and one was out of action , one was fine it is not a very big hotel , we were unlucky to arrive when a bus of tourists arrived and all the luggage was being brought to the rooms we were caught up in that , the staff might have let us have priority and let us use the lift ahead of the luggage , small gripe overall it was good .

Service in restaurant for breakfast was sooooo slow, servers didn't seem to be allocated tables, people who arrived down way after us were served and gone before us, no attention to detail and rooms very dusty clearly only basic cleaning being done.

An exceptionally good hotel.

The staff were very friendly, professional and diligent especially the reception staff who were probably the best I have ever encountered. The breakfast was very good and I particularly liked the fact that it was served to you rather than a buffet. The location is ideal, about 2 mins walk from the city centre. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience and I will definitely stay again
