After trying to find somewhere to park I stood in the pub standing there for 30 minutes Told multiple waiters/waitresses that I was here for my booking! They had no paperwork seems as the room were not ready? The talked in the back room came out and just kept serving beer to people in the pub Another few people walked in to get their booking and were the same I told then I have been standing here for 30 minutes and not one person has helped me or told me what’s going on! I walked out

Staff were very friendly, personally showed us to our room. The breakfast that was included was very good as well. Full hot breakfast along with cereals, fruit. and yogurt.

It was a bit tricky to find on a one way street, but parking was a short walk up the street.

Great location, but I personally wouldn't recommend this for older travelers / families

The pub is centrally located, just a few minutes walk from the castle, shops, and pubs. The recommended car park was about 5 minutes away in a convenient location, and only cost 3 euro for the night.

I didn't read many reviews that mentioned the noise, but this was quite loud and I wouldn't recommend this for a group with older members or those that want to get to sleep early. A live band played until nearly 1 am, and there is near noise coming from the street below throughout the night. We used earplugs, which I would recommend if you stay here.

The lights shine into the windows and there are no blackout curtains. It can get loud out on the street too late at night. The toilet didn’t flush great and the shower wasn’t awesome.

The location was so walkable and easy to navigate around town. Breakfast was delicious and served quickly. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was just what we needed. Not fancy, definitely efficient.

The location was great! Right in the middle of a fantastic city. The team at The Rafters was lovely and very accommodating. The family room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was great.

Great place to stay in the heart of Kilkenny

My husband and I stayed one night passing through Kilkenny and enjoyed our time here. The owner was very nice and accommodating. After exploring, we came back to the pub to have dinner and it was pretty quiet (probably because it was a Tuesday) but enjoyable. We took a pint up to their beer garden which was really nice! The next morning they had breakfast waiting for us before we left. Overall great stay.

Great option in the very heart of Kilkenny

Great location in the very heart of Kilkenny! Room was huge and very comfortable. Bathroom was OK, cleaning was OK. Breakfast (full Irish) was superb. We would surely return, as it exceeded our expectations.

A bit more information on "how and where" to park the car would have been very helpful, considering it's a crowded area without parking places on the street (a bit difficult to download/upload the bags). As there is no elevator, you may find hard to carry the bags by stairs up to the second floor.

Wonderful central lication

Every member of staff was really friendly and helpful. The location was perfect- right in the centre and close to everything. The breakfast which was included was tasty. We had a choice of cooked breakfasts, plus there were scones, cereals, fruit and yoghurt which we could help ourselves to.

There were only a couple of small things that weren't perfect. There was no hairdryer in the rooms and the bathroom was a little dated. However, considering the good value of our stay these things were not a deal breaker.

Amazing food and service.

The food and service were amazing, the young woman who took our order, who had an English accent, was the highlight, rarely do you get such good service, and the man who delivered my steak too. Thank you both for making the stay that much more enjoyable. The room and bed were comfortable. The atmosphere was very good.

The shower could have had a little more power. Outside our window was a smoking room, so we had to leave the curtain drawn.
