Loved that you can get an all morning breakfast.

The shower curtin in (room 24 I think) was too light and kept being sucked back into the shower itself. This was extremely annoying. Get a plastic/glass screen instead. Also, the curtains could be arranged better so as to darken the room.

An old cavernous building with so many rooms and nooks, on the ground floor. Great central location.

Kilkenny is a wonderful place to visit with great restaurants and bars. The Kilford Arms hotel sadly falls short.

The breakfast was good with lots of different options. The breakfast room was very weird with strange forest decor. The hotel is a labyrinth of corridors and the bedroom we stayed in was quite small with views of the hotels aircon equipment. The bathroom was in dire need of redecorating and the toilet didn’t flush properly. The staff were polite and helpful. The hotel with its various bars has an identity crisis as it doesn’t seem to know what it wants to be.

The bedroom quality is not in line with the price paid albeit the location is good and Kilkenny itself is charming.

Really lovely, cozy stay in Kilkenny

Fantastic location, free parking, beds are very comfortable, and friendly and helpful staff.

The building is very large and accessing some rooms requires some amount of walking and a few sets of stairs. This was okay for us but may not be ideal for others! Best to ask for a more accessible room if needed.

Very quirky hotel with 2 bars and a large breakfast room. Large car park out the back was a great bonus. Very easy to walk to all sights in Kilkenny.

Waking distance to history with fairly easy parking

Husband greatly enjoyed his full Irish. Teen daughter was not impressed with the scones. Bar and bar food were food. Hotel was walking distance to Castle and shopping.

Room was odd. We booked a family room that ended up being L-shaped and had 3 twins on one side and a twin and a queen in the other. There were two bathrooms but they were side by side. It was also on the front corner so it has alley and street noise. I'm sure other rooms are lovely. I would stay again, just not in that type of room..

Awesome location, comfy hotel, happy customer.

Room was great, value for money. Nothing super flash, but was very comfortable and the location was perfect. Right in the middle of it, without being intrusive. Staff were really helpful and friendly.

Rooms were a little dated, but to be honest, I knew what I was getting into when booking. I wanted something cheap and cheerful, and that's exactly what I got. No complaints

The rooms were small for double bed bed linen heavy bathroom very small no air con in rooms .Rooms looking onto side entrance to car park where men were urinating and smoking so had to keep window closed .Noise up till 3am.

Comfortable space for a couple of days.

Good location, close to the train station & centre of town. Beds were comfortable & room was spacious.

There was a lift to the 1st floor, but then we had several sets of stairs as we walked through a maze to get to our room. Just to note for others on an accessibility piece. Shower curtain in the bathroom - always a deal breaker for me so highlighting in case anyone has the same feeling. No bathroom fan, so it did get pretty hot & steamy after a shower.

Myself and friend stayed for Comedy Festival. Location is brilliant. Plenty of parking. Hotel has loads going on with different Bars etc. They put us at the back, so it was very quiet. Room was bright and Airy. Beds are solid and comfortable. Breakfast was standard fare. You won't go hungry. The Staff serve you so, just ask for what you want.

Bathroom was in our room was dated, not good for showering as the Bath rails are to far out. Needs to be replaced with proper easy access shower and non slip flooring. Breakfast Room needs to be updated.

Central with parking, but poor customer service

Good location. Ample parking.

The water was gone (taps and shower) from 6pm (arrival) to 8am (departure) in the room/wing l was staying. I was provided with 3 bottles of water (500ml) and staff who delivered it apologised. But no apology at check out, reduction in price, offer of breakfast, voucher for future etc. which was disappointing. Decor could certainly do with updating and room was small for the price.

The room was huge. And quiet. Thank you. Had everything we needed. Although lots of stairs, it was an enjoyable walk to/from our roadside room.

Party crowd only

Not much. It was centrally located to bars and convenient for extremely drunk people.

Overrun with drunk loud patrons. It appears the cater to only a party crowd. Only suitable for a stag or hen parties - if that is what you’re looking for, and you’re not worried about what your hotel room looks like, this is the place for you. We had two rooms and, although the staff was nice, they purposely diverted us away from seeing my daughter’s room. Once I saw and heard what she was expected to sleep in, we didn’t even stay the night. We booked a room at the Zuni hotel up the road. Probably the most degenerate hotel I’ve ever stepped foot in.
