Good place to stay for a couple of nights in Killkenny.

The breakfast was very tasty. Full Irish breakfast. The location was within walking distance from the train station. Doors were secured. The host and hostess were very pleasant. Enjoyed hearing about the owners books she has written. Cleanliness.The duvet was warm.

The springs on the twin bed were uncomfortable. Couldn’t find a hair dryer in the room. Didn’t ask host either. The red velvet chair sat so close to the floor and was uncomfortable. It was difficult to get luggage up the stairs. The stairs were wooden. Afraid I would scratch them.

Good place to stay

Great location in a quiet, safe area. Staff was super nice and lovely, and the breakfast was amazing!

I booked a king bed but was given a room with 2 full sized beds there were not together. The room was large so we did not complain about it. The shower has some ovviois leaks in the past which were covered in a ton of caulk around the bottom. I attached pictures.

Very small, bare-bones room. No heat. Bright yellow street light outside the window. Narrow uncomfortable bed. Bathroom door did not close completely. No outlets available for charging. Nowhere in the room to sit except on the bed. No surfaces available for phone, laptop, etc.

Location, location, location. Celtic house is a walk of only a few minutes from Kilkenny Castle . It’s a unique little place offering all the amenities required of a bnb . Would stay there again given the opportunity to visit that beautiful country.

Loved Kilkenny. Would stay centrally again as there is so much to do and see within walking distance of town centre.

Location was central and easy to get to from train station, hosts were very accommodating and accessible, well presented compact room.

The steep stairs. All rooms are up 1-3 levels of very steep narrow stairs, so large luggage is an issue (resident owners are elderly).

Breakfast.. Very good offering cornflakes etc full cooked breakfast, toast. Orange, tea and coffee. Enough for the start of the day. Staff all friendly. Great Base for the town centre. Rooms nice size and clean warm day and night. All in all a great place to stay.

Perfect place and lovely owners

They were very nice and so accommodating. Breakfast was really good. There were six of us and we had three rooms and everyone enjoyed their experience there. It was also very convenient to sights and not a far walk from train station.

Wonderful experience!

The stay at Celtic House was really nice and pleasant! Hosts were wonderful, Irish breakfast was plenty and delicious 🤤 Bed was super comfortable and shower also was very pleasant, everything and more you need for a day-to a week stay. It’s also located pretty central, we needed 10 minutes to the most of tourist attractions, which was a wonderful walk across the bridges with castle and rainbow view, and the parking was a really good bonus. If you’re there, also definitely check out the books before you enter the kitchen. Would definitely recommend and come back!

Perfectly located accommodation in the town center

Nice classical B&B in a silent street very near the town center and with a guaranteed free parking on the street. The room was fine, fully equipped and spotlessly clean. Nice communication with the owners.

Not the best sound isolation of the rooms. The breakfast was ok, but nothing special (compared to other B&B we used on our trip). The beds were not the most comfortable type. Strangely empty car park in the backyard - parking there would give more secure feel.

Great Location in Kilkenny

We had double room #6 that was on the top floor, 3 flights of stairs up. The room was large with a large entryway and a huge bathroom. They offered a great selection for breakfast and were very accommodating. The location is amazing because you're about a 10 minute walk from the great part of Kilkenny. This is a great stay if you're want to take a couple of days to explore Kilkenny.

Location is good clean place. But a shocking poor breakfast. Toast done around 10 mins brought out cold orange juice already poured on table for people bad idea. No beans mushrooms one sausage rashers burnt. Breakfast 2/10

Ideal location within walking distance of almost everything you’d need or want. Lovely hosts!

This location was ideal! We parked the car for the entire day and walked to all of the attractions. The view from the second story room was stunning! You could see the cathedral’s and castle all around. It was right on the river so you could walk to everything. There was a Dunes Store very close as well. Our hosts were charming, checking in if we needed anything during our stay as we passed them by in the front entry.

It’s directly across from a grade school. I like children and their playing in the background so it wasn’t a concern for me. Just something to note if that would bother anyone.
