Convenient location, spacious and comfortable, more than enough

The location is great, just a short walk into Windermere centre.

The stairs to the property are steep, but ok for us as a group of adults and older child.

Good location.

Property is in need of repair and a deep clean. Stairs to property are also extremely steep. I wish they were shown in initial pictures at the time of booking. Not ideal if you have young children like us.

Disappointing

Central location

Apartment was unclean upon arrival, dirty surfaces, fllooring, sofas, bathroom and no contact from the providers despite repeated attempts (any responses took hrs to arrive). Ultimately checked out having not been supported throughout and cleaning the place ourselves to be a little more comfortable.

Apart from the cookware the place is good for your stay in the Lake District

It was walking distance to the town, supermarkets was nearby, it’s quite Spacious downstairs, cleanish, carpet has been replaced on the landing no leaks to the bathroom or sink is not leaking as reported by previous reviewers, plenty of towels, bed linen clean. There is WiFi, the WiFi router is under the huge TV in a small cupboard, there is a Sky unit as well all working.

The door handle in the small room was not attached when we arrived and was just left on the floor, there was no tools to screw this back on and was accidentally locked in the room, the kettle either needs replacing or cleaned thoroughly before each guest, the non stick frying pans need replacing as some people do their own cooking, only one toilet roll so bring extras, the cleaners need to clean around windows under the beds because there was food wrappers. So if you plan to cook here bring a frying pan or a travel kettle . Also bring slippers the main bedroom carpet has a few stains

Not according to our expectations

The property was goofs according to the location.

What was shown in the picture it was completely different there are a lot of stairs which my sister who is old was not comfortable and the carpets are very old and dirty. We paid for seven but we were only 6. There only one toilet roll extra.The cooling pot was very dirty to use. The internet was not working we could not watch TV at all.

Didn't mention have more than 10 stairs to get on the flat and only have one bin bag provided. Except the stairs everything was perfect and location very good

Close to town but dirty and tired lodging.

We loved our central access to town and the shops and dining there.

We were bummed that the property was not clean. The counters still had crumbs and sticky smears of things from previous guests, the sofa was similar with crumbs and debris. The seagrass carpeting must not have been vacuumed for a very long time and the beds were terribly uncomfortable. The cleaning needs to be addressed with the clean team and ownership should be upgrading the mattresses. No one had a good rest in the beds.

The shower and bath were wonderful. The sofa was very comfy and all that u would need was there plates pot pans knife forks etc .

The double bed in the front room was a little low and bumpy .The stairs leading up to the property need to be put in pictures as people who are elderly or disabled would not make it up them .

Cot was missing but the host came down within 30 minutes to hand one over. Excellent service!

fantastic location, beds were really comfortable with good quality linen/towels. kitchen had everything needed. Spacious and comfortable.

a few fixtures and fittings issues meant had to handle with care. example difficult to open fridge/freezer as not well integrated to doors. handles were a bit iffy on the front door and internal doors.

Perfect location for exploring the Lakes and having shops and amenities on your doorstep. Very handy to have a parking spot, lovely spacious apartment with very good appliances.....

Shame the dishwasher wasn't working....

Location and parking great. Nice interior. Lots of kitchen equipment and appliances. Beds comfy.

Outside very unappealing and dirty. Steps would be quite unsafe in winter as very steep. Lack of mirrors, only 1 bedroom had a mirror so it was impossible to get ready. Every bedroom should have a mirror.....fridge and freezer doors broken,

The location is Very good.

The stairs were extremely high and stiff/vertical (from the road level) which is not suitable for older people at all. There was no WiFi to the property. The company should advertise the property picture from the road level.

house was really nice and very clean, nice set up and not far from Windermere lake.just little walk from Main Street (bonus)

bathroom door lock doesn’t work. it catches the plate and won’t lock it. The main thing WiFi does not work at all so better to have loads of data to use it. apart from that everything was spot on.

Pleasant but not worth the money

It was pleasant enough for a couple of nights.

I was not aware of the steep stone steps up to the property, which my daughter struggled with. Photos of this need to be put on your site! Although the property was ok, I did feel it was expensive. It is not the most attractive property and parking in a back alley is not good.

EXPECTING COMPENSATION FROM HOST FOR NOT PROVIDING APPLIANCS also CLEAN BED SHEETS, PILLOWS, DUVETS

Washing machine, dishwasher Washing machine soap compartment couldn't be open and stuck in between door (photo attached), We found stain on the duvet cover and bed sheets in the master bed room. Also hair found on the pillows from the previous guest. It was disguising and feel embarrassing in front of the guest we had from overseas. Washing machine soap compartment couldn't open so couldn't use washing machine. Again Dishwasher was not plumed so my self and our guest has to wash utensils all the time during holidays. If we knew this earlier than we could book other property. I am expecting reasonable compensation against what we had hassle during our stay at upper oak.

good facilities and spacious, fitted us all comfortably

cleanliness of all the kitchen, and its cutlery dishes etc were dirty and needed a good wash before use, obviously not checked by the cleaning team I would look at the fridge and freezer doors as the freezer door is stiff and dragging at the bottom and will cause an issue also really hard to open fridge door without trapping your fingers

Nice duplex apartment inside

The TV, standard of fittings, comfy bed, location, open living / dining room.

The external stairs are steep. The shower screen does not fit the bath profile so water pours onto the bathroom floor. You can buy these off eBay & cut them to match the bath profile. The bathroom sink is shallow & is not designed to have a plug so you have to keep the tap running. The fridge freezer is behind cupboard doors & the doors are not attached to the fridge freezer. You have to open both cupboard doors (top & bottom) because your fingers will catch if you only open the top door & try to open the fridge on it’s own. The dishwasher was out of order. It took us 20 attempts to get the Very old Sky box to work but once it started working it kept going. We tried to contact the managing agents (Sykes Cottages) & every number went unanswered. No option to leave a message. The local address given for them in Windermere turns out to be an accountants. They really really do not want you to contact them.

Enjoyable Visit to Windermere

Good all round, comfortable, reasonably well equipped, near to town. Gary who we bumped into on arrival was incredibly helpful with great local knowledge regarding restaurants etc, 100%, car parking good.

Steps to the door could be a problem for some. No WiFi, dishwasher not working.

The place is very spacious and well-equipped, nicely decorated. Clear guidance on the key collection. Place is safe and secure quite المكان ديكوره حلو و واسع ٣ غرف و مطبخ واسع مرتب والمنطقة حلوة و آمنة و هادئة بس كلشي يسكر من وقت

The stairs-case is a bit too steep, a little dangerous and difficult to carry on luggages. We needed extra hand soaps it was almost finished in the whole apartment. We found few hairs here and there but not a deal breaker الدرج خطر و العتبات ضيقة شوي خطر لحمل الامتعة، طلبنا صالون اليد زيادة كان مخلص في شوي شعر منثور على الكنبات و فالحمام بس عادي مو قضية
