It was ok

The location is very nice and quite and the property is huge.

The property is very old and not well maintained. There was visible mould in the bathrooms and spiderwebs throughout the house, including on the furniture. The heating system is also poorly designed — once the main thermostat is on, there is no way to switch off heating for the first-floor rooms individually. This was particularly uncomfortable as we were visiting with elderly parents who needed heating on, which meant we couldn’t regulate the temperature upstairs. With the beds placed next to the radiators, the first-floor rooms became unbearable at times. In addition, although both bathrooms have bathtubs, the first-floor bathroom does not have a shower. This meant the entire group had to queue for the ground-floor bathroom to shower, which was quite inconvenient.

The house is a good size.

The settee’s in the living room smell. Needs a good clean. The shower curtain in downstairs bathroom isn’t very good at all. Water goes everywhere. Bath up stairs is for small people. The house is tired and could do with a deep clean and a fresh coat of paint. There is laundry room. Our clothes have been ruined. The washing machine has pieces missing and damaged five items of clothing. I informed the owner Julia, she said she would deal with myself. A month later Julia (owner of Helm View) has’nt done anything. Unprofessional business woman. We paid £1528.00 for a weeks stay. Clothes that were £260 are ruined! Julia has ignored messages, phonecalls, emails from Booking.com. Very disappointed that a business woman doesn’t have customer care. Wouldn’t recommend this property, very poor value for money, worst thing is the owner Julia! No customer care!

Exceptional

So comfortable,home from home,great location. Loads of room and beds were really comfy. Everything you need in the kitchen and was lovely and warm.

Only thing was the shower pressure isnt god.

lots of rooms to stay in, kitchen had everything you need.

told to strip beds which isn’t great when your on holiday. dart board couldn’t be used as magnetic darts but not a magnetic board. games were missing pieces

Location is a bit above the hill. Wifi was poor though Central heating was too much hot to us and we could not regulate them all
