Great location set up well with everything you need.
Poor communication from booking.com. Had no emails explaining where to get the key, check in times etc. There was a number which i had to call a few times in order to find out all the booking info. Even when we got there we had to call again to find out the key was at the office of another company in the town centre. However, once that was all sorted, we had a wonderful break and it was a lovely place to stay.

Fabulous location. Very central with shops and restaurants within a few metres but street was quiet. Large house with plenty of room. Well equipped. Clean. Beds are very comfortable. Lovely walks within walking distance.
Cost (but everywhere in Lake District is too expensive and this is reasonable compared to most)

A very well equipped property in an excellent location for local shops and restaurants and Lake Windermere, and a good base to explore other parts of the Lake District. Surprised to discover board games that kept us occupied on rainy days! Also enjoyed the exhibition at the Library about the role of Windermere in WW2.
We had to boost the heating a few times as it never came on as scheduled. There was also a problem with the grill, with bits falling on our food - turns out this was a known problem and resulted in some kind of cement being applied whilst we were there prior to it being replaced.
