Excellent base, comfortable house with plenty of space and easy town access.

excellent sharing space for friends group, plenty of hot water and choices of places to gather and chat. Brilliant base for walks access and using Windermere shops, bars & eateries

smelly drains in back yard stopped us using this area as much as may have done. Oak Street can be a little lovely at night and parking not guaranteed by house….however permits super useful. net curtain in front room hanging off on arrival so took down.

Pleasantly surprised, lovely house with great yard area. Would deffo recommend.

Access to key was straight forward and easy on arrival. However, as we were attending a family wedding, we returned following the evening reception at night. As only 1 key was provided we left it in the lock box. Upon return it was very difficult to access the key as the lighting was so poor we could not see the dial to input the correct number. Advisory notice regarding the amount of stairs would be beneficial. My elderly parents really struggled with all the stairs. Maybe a better floorplan would help as, despite looking on several different sites to ascertain layout, these were very brief and didnt really explain layout well.

Lovely house in a great location, 150m from the heart of Windermere. Four large double-bedrooms, comfy beds, 2 bathrooms

Four good-size double bedrooms, 2 comfortable sitting rooms and a pleasant kitchen-diner.

The backyard could do with a tidy-up.

Superb

The space and furniture are excellent especially the kitchen and dining room. Lots of good quality utensils, crockery, glasses. The beds are really comfy and everyone had good sleep every night. To enable our family to sit together we were able to move one sofa from the front room to the back.

The freezer badly needs defrosting.

Enjoyed our stay, accommodation has so much potential with a bit more TLC.

Location was good, basement level/kitchen/dining well decorated and equipped. Bedrooms reasonable. Some quirky aspects like stained glass windows at toilets and beams in top level. Plenty toilets. Great to have washer and dryer available.

Outside areas all overgrown and unkempt, some rubbish/cardboard in back terrace. Reception rooms ok, grubby feel to back reception room. Overall, felt like it could have been cleaner. Dust on skirtings, spiders in hallway. Did not feel relaxing or homely due to this. Some screening around terrace would add to a more secure, private feel, especially as no blinds in kitchen.

A very lovely place to wind down for a week

Location is close to city centre, restaurants and shops and easy access to public transport if needed.

Iron wasn't working and one of the bathrooms sink is slow drain
