Perfect for our family. Upstairs had a room perfect for Mum and Dad. Our 2 girls loved the opposite room with 2 separate beds for them. Downstairs was great for Nana and Grandad with a bit of separation for privacy. Excellent property. Great location. Just wish we could’ve stayed for longer.
We weren’t amazing at working out how to moderate the temperature downstairs but could’ve been our understanding, may be worth considering short instructions (we may have missed these)

Great location. Lovely and clean and overall a lovely place. Cool layout and kid friendly.
Heating and hot water failed to work everyday after water pressure broke. When trying to fix water pressure to boiler, water would spout everywhere. House became very cold and children unable to have a shower on a few occasions without hot water.

The location was very good and the facilities were very good.
The lighting in the main bedroom was poor, it could of been brighter. When we arrived the heating would not come on. After checking the pressure in the boiler was very low, as I knew what to do I brought pressure up and reset the boiler so we had heat. This should have been check before we arrived.

Loved it 😍

The location and the cottage - it was a short walk to the attractions and a quirky property. Everything we needed
The mattresses! Everyone said the beds were uncomfortable and we were in the downstairs one and it was rock hard and I kept rolling to the edge.
Lack of parking too. Couldn’t park outside

Amazing location.
Super clean with great sized rooms.
Parking is on the street. Can be difficult to find a space.

On arriving the front door approach was dirty, covered in bird droppings and in need of a painting. We started our break by brushing and washing down door and entrance before others arrived and were put off.

loved that is is 3 stories, clean, perfect for what we needed
we had no heating and no hot water from half way through the trip. thermometer was difficult to understand. we had to ring up to work out how to get in, also the number of the post code was different to the one on the house. - they did refund us 50% because of this thought which was very good.

This property is in a great location, just off the high street. It’s a 5-10minute walk to the lake, and hiking routes from the front door. All amenities accessible on the high street, which was just at the end of the road.
It was spacious and comfortably fit 5 adults, allowing us all to be able to both sit, eat and move around the place comfortably. The cottage was very clean and well maintained. It had everything you might need on a short break and more than you would normally expect to find. This included a washer and drier, dishwasher, chest freezer, and extras for babies including travel cot and high chair. We felt these were really useful extras.
The set up over three floors worked well for us but perhaps needs thinking about if you have small children. We loved the little touches - the climbing men on the walls and the map on the wall, which brought the surroundings indoors.
We felt we had really good value for money and would recommend Brisky Burrow.
Having only one bathroom in the property, on the lower ground floor was a bit of a problem for us, with 5 adults having to share and queue up for a shower after a muddy hike. With two of the bedrooms being on the first floor, it meant having to walk all the way through the property in a towel after showering. We see the issue with a lack of space upstairs, however maybe considering some reconfiguration to fit in at least a shower, would benefit this property.
We also had a lack of mirrors in the bedrooms- only one mirror on the dresser in the master room and none in either of the other bedrooms. A quick fix really.
The heating was difficult to control and more clear and accessible instructions would be helpful (we only found the guide at the end of the second day, it had been placed under some children’s books on the book shelf).
Although a couple of niggles for us, I would not let this put anyone off, it was a great place to stay! 😁

it was in a very good location for local amenities- a short walk down the hill.
The facilities were fine - no niceties- but very adequate.
Although appears in the main clean. needed to look under the bed and saw loads of dust bunnies and bits. As it was a wooden floor it could have been cleaned more adequate. Also felt stairs could have had a wipe down to clear some old faint boot marks.
However let me reiterate- on the whole it appeared to be a very clean place.

Brilliant location - pretty much just off the high street of Bowness and within reach of many walks etc. Two toilets, two fairly good sized double rooms, a utility room and a fully equipped kitchen which were great for a large group.
Big issue with the hot water - we’d get a small amount and then cold water would run so made for some cold baths and showers. A deeper clean wouldn’t go a miss as the shower had mould around the silicone. Beds were fairly springy so in need of toppers - especially the singles. Also, the basement bedroom door would catch loudly.

Location excellent, weather was good.
Check in, no one send key code, we couldn't get in the property for two hours.

The location is the best part about this property. Right on the edge of town, just a short walk into town. The property was lovely and warm, very spacious and the area was nice and quiet.
The communication from the property before my arrival date was very poor. I had to call up 3 times for my check in details and on each occasion I was on hold for ~30 mins or more. There was no mirrors in the upstairs bedrooms:

The accommodation was lovely and clean, the location was great.
The stairs were steep for young children, there was no outside space and parking was tricky.
