The location of the property is amazing, great value and facilities. Comfy beds and lovely shower.
The floor in the living room didn’t feel clean. I actually stood on a tiny bit of glass when I took my shoes off and cut my foot and finger. Which meant I had to got buy antiseptic cream.
There was old sweet wrappers and someone’s ring under the couch just felt the floor wasn’t cleaned as well as the rest of the house.

Rowan Cottage is in a great location, on a quiet side road right by the main street going into Bowness from Windermere. The bus stop is right outside and there are some great cafes and restaurants within a minute’s walk.
The house itself was a good size for 3/4 people with two comfy bedrooms and a modern bathroom with a spacious shower.
We were disappointed that basic essentials such as tea, coffee and hand wash in the bathroom were not supplied. Nearly all other holiday rentals would provide this and it felt like unnecessary cost-cutting. It is otherwise a very nice house with good quality towels and bed linen which made us wonder why other simple basics were not supplied.

Parking was a challenge - there were probably more permits than spaces and no guarantee you would find a space in the streets permitted.
