Amazing time - will be back again.

We stayed as a family of four for a week to see in the new year. And had a great time and will definitely return. The Christmas tree being up was a lovely bonus. Fantastic location, lovely property with everything you need. Loved the restaurant next door! Great comms and east parking.

Great short escape

Really good location close to all amenities We had some issues with fire alarms but the owner was prompt to sort this. Very reassuring.

Lovely place

Location, size, facilities. Lovely cozy cottage.

The mattress in the double room is terribly uncomfortable, it felt a bit like sleeping on a pile of rocks.

Two stay at the Lakes.

Lovely house with all that is required for a pleasant stay in Bowness. Comfy bed, equipped kitchen, small yard area. Parking included on street.

The only slight downside was the TV which did not appear to stream live TV, only facility was to watch the online streaming services. Not the end of the world but not sure why this was the case as it was connected via an aerial as well as WiFi. Would not put me off staying again. :-)

Wonderful

Very comfy and cozy. Modern, clean bathroom. Feels like a real home with lots of space. Very well equipped kitchen. Nice TV with option for Netflix in the evening. Close to the lake, restaurants and bus stops. Surprisingly quiet, given the proximity to the main road.

Could be a bit cleaner I'm sorry to say, cob webs all over living room and dinning room ,coffee stains all down couch,grubby windows (put us off when we first pulled up), Sorry but I think you would want to know i hate complaining.

The location, and how comfortable it was.

We returned after being out one day and the front door was wide open, even tho I had locked and checked the door. Fortunately nothing was missing. Just puzzling. There were no instructions on how to work the tv ie. How to access the channels.

A perfect place to stay.

A wonderful place to stay, everything was there that you needed. A bonus was the washing machine and drier, especially on damp days! It is in a great location for exploring the area.

TV was a bit limited as we had a 6yr old to keep entertained, couldn't seem to find the terrestrial channels.

Cottage was alot larger and nicer than the photos, the photos online did not do the cottage justice.

House hadn't been cleaned on entering, after phoning the number in the guide, the cleaners arrived within half an hour to clean and bring fresh linen.

Lovely cottage to stay in - clean, comfortable and in the middle of Bowness.

Nothing to not like but could just do with a dressing table in bedroom for doing hair/makeup etc but just a preference not a dislike

The cottage was just beautiful. It had everything you need. The location was excellent. Right in the middle of everything. The photos don't actually do it justice as it is much bigger in real life. I will definitely be returning. It was very good value for money.

You couldn't get the WiFi in one of the upstairs bedrooms, the room with the 2 single beds, however, this is apparently a common problem in the area as the walls in the cottages are very thick.

good location for all activities

there was a really off putting smell to start with which may be drains,Luckily we bought some plug ins and although it kept coming back it was bearable.I reported this so hopefully it will be dealt with as we stayed last year without any problems.

Great little cottage in the heart of Bowness

The cottage is in excellent location, central to the town, well furnished with everything you needed for your stay, including a starter pack of essentials in the kitchen; also has a nice little courtyard with a table and chairs

The bathroom could do with an upgrade, the electric shower wasn’t great at all, it was very hard to control the temperature

easy to get to and central location for all of the shops and places to eat, clean with plenty of room to relax after a day out, just a short walk and you are down at the lake where you can get excursions round the lake,

Bathroom needs updating. No electric shaver points. Lack of dedicated parking proved to be an issue on a couple of occasions when we had taken the car out and we had to find a space in an adjacent street.

Great location but a little TLC needed.

Covid secure check in. Very central location with an abundance of dining options literally on the doorstep. Mini market within a five minute stroll for the little essentials. Very quiet yet less than 10 yards from the high street! The kitchen and the extremely large dining room were excellent. Bedrooms very spacious and main room double bed was very comfortable. Heating was excellent and the log burner a lovely little extra touch for these cold winter nights.

Bathroom was a disappointment in truth-very small and dated. Removing the bath and fitting a walk in shower would make this property exceptional. Very slippery when showering due to lack of an in bath shower mat. Lounge furniture could also do with an update and a bigger television for the longer dark evenings would also be an improvement. We were also surprised there was no second television in either bedroom. These small improvements/additions would move this property from 8 out of 10 rating to 11 out of 10 (yes-that good!) and the host could easily increase his rental charges significantly. Parking would be an issue in high season I would assume.
