Location and the proximity to everything and parking

The toilet downstairs smelled of sewage. No air conditioning so beware in the summer.

Loved the location . We were wary after reading some not great reviews ( after booking ) but we liked the cottage and slept well and a great base for exploring with our dog . Would stay here again and it was nice to walk in to a welcome pack to have a cuppa before having to go straight back out .

We enjoyed our stay but a few improvements would make it better and more comfortable . A nest of tables so we all could have somewhere to put a coffee cup down when watching tv . The hearth which has no fire is totally pointless and hubby tripped over it twice . Minor things that didn’t spoil our stay but something that could be thought about .

Excellent location, pretty decent beds.

Found some dirty cookware in the cupboard, mouldy bathrooms, extremely noisy chairs in the kitchen (would need just some foot caps on!). Living area not very cosy, all would benefit of a bit of TLC.

Location. The local office were lovely. Restaurant recommendations were brilliant thank you.

The house is marketed as housing 6 people. This is impossible as the sofa bed was unfit for purpose and there are only 4 of everything. We had to ring for a sheet for the sofa bed and towels for guest 5 and 6. These were delivered next day we were garteful. The parking is very difficult to use during busy periods and we struggled to find a space. This property is looked after by a large agent, who markets on booking.com. Customer service of both were the worst I have experienced in a long time spending over 6hrs on hold in various phonecalls with no resolve. There is then a local office who manage the property and they tried their best to smooth the stay being local staff etc. I spent a total of 6hrs on hold to various people to try to resolve the matter of correct bed arrangements and price match guarantee before I travelled having done some deeper research after I booked. My advice is not to booked this cottage if you have more than 4 people and do not rely on price match to reassure you to book it either.
