The location was great, the room clean and quite recently renovated to a high standard. Access was clearly explained by email.

We were lucky to find parking close by but if not this could be a problem if you have a lot of luggage. The air conditioning unit was exceptionally loud and had to be turned off as it was impossible to sleep; not a problem if it is not too hot.

It was cool and clean as a whistle. Nice sunny balcony with clothes line, a bottle opener ! , comfy bed - lovely decor.

Is a little tricky to find and there is road noise as mopeds and motorcycles speed past but to be expected as so central.

The room was clean and neat. They had cold water ready for us and a good instruction provided per message directly from the host for arrival and parking. Further information was also available inside the room, once checked in. Toiletries and extra toilet paper was also provided. Good pressure on the shower and the ac was a life saver in the 35+ Italian heat. Good wifi. Location was superb as it is dead center of everything so you could take a short walk to the central train station and to shopping street - here there were plenty of options for everything. Perfect for couples who are travelling light.

The private parking garage was a hassle, as it is located 300 meters away from the building we resided - you have to enter multiple pass codes just to enter and leave the garage with luggages and children.The garage itself is a great feature to have in a packed city like la spezia and it made sense for all the pass codes, to keep unwanted people out and ensure parking to actual paying customers. We never met the host and perhaps it wasn't truly necessary but it would have been nice to see the host in person for a welcome feel, although they did send us a welcome message the day of arrival. It is not possible to change your check out date if its a day or two before the booked check out - meaning you will still have to pay for all the days booked, even if you need to check out a day or two earlier than expected. I guess this is to ensure they don't loose out on unwanted vacancies, which is very different compared to staying at an actual hotel, so I missed the flexibility aspect of that.
