The staff are very attentive and friendly. The room was very clean.
The bed sheet was stained. :(

The room was quite spacious and well equipped. The bed was comfortable and the garden and pool are really nice. Ideal place for a night to see the kekac dance at temple uluwatu.
We had a lot of stains on towels and bed linen which was not very pleasant. Also the floor wasn‘t really clean.

The staff is super attentive and very helpful. The swimming pool is beautiful and it was available until late, great to refresh after a hot day.
The air con works great and the facilities were very good. The location is good if you are looking for a quiet spot. But the Uluwatu restaurant's street is near if you rent a scooter.
The shower water is salty, be mindful about that.

The staff at Davu Sundara Villa are awesome. They make this accommodation so welcoming. They offer pick ups from the airport and helped to organise food and exploring.

All good

They were very accommodating of my early check-in. Breakfast was great and I enjoyed every bite despite recovering from my Bali belly. The location is conveniently very close to the temple and beaches. The room was spacious and had all the amenities. I enjoyed sitting by the pool and enjoying the fresh air.
It could have been cleaner, but I am a bit picky with cleanliness. The building was old, so I can give them some grace, but the room was unfortunately not to my standard. I would have been able to relax more if it were.

It was very quiet. Staff were helpful and kind. The pool was wonderful and usually very quiet. Nothing is very close in Uluwatu, but I felt this resort was in a pretty easy to access location
Beds and mattresses were a little too firm for my liking.

Beautiful location and garden. Outside the most crowded area, close to a mini market and scooter rental. Nice pool, friendly staff, big room with equally big fridge. 5-10’ by scooter from any attraction (Ulu temple, Padang Padang beach). Essential but good breakfast, lovely presented
A bit isolated, at night time, so you need to call a Grab or take a scooter to go to the restaurant. Jungle noises (as expected!)
Two dogs around (inoffensive, but …poop everywhere in the garden, watch your steps!)

We loved our stay in Davu Sundara. Great Balinese style hotel, no noises, very relaxed atmosphere. Great jungle vibes pool, could even see sunset from our balcony.
We have been in Uluwatu many times, we actually preferred location of this hotel. It’s not in a busy area but still very close everything with a motorbike.
CCTV cameras, room included kettle and fridge.
Staff were super friendly and helpful.
It’s probably not for someone who doesn’t drive motorbikes or prefers walking distance for restaurants.
Water pressure in the shower wasn’t great, but that’s in lots of places in Bali.

The place is nice! Quiet and clean. It’s around 6 min to the city by bike and no more than 25-30 min to beautiful beaches. Bathrooms were clean and didn’t have any bad smell.
The breakfast it’s a little bit small.

Cozy and clean room
There is no rubbish bin in the room, also the staff did the housekeeping without notice, and in the last day morning, when we were outside (still had to time to check out), our luggage had been carried to the reception without permission, and our medication (insulin) that had to be kept cold was taken from the room fridge and put in our luggage..

Pool, staff and everything is amazing!! Staff have beer and had an amazing display organised on the bed
There were some issues with the safe which was resolved and as a solo traveler was a bit secluded to be going out at night etc. but close to the temple and beaches.

Nice + very good quiet location if you prefer to be out of the busy touristy areas. There are some great cafes and restarants nearby
Bad wifi connection - my router was broken for a number of days, but they did give me a dongle in the end which was very good of them to provide.

Size of the room and of the bed, pool, nice garden, check-out time
I don’t totally mind it, but there were MANY roosters around that made it very hard to sleep early in the morning. Breakfast was good, but smaller than other places I have been staying in Bali and Indonesia in general

At the breakfast I had the worst coffee that I ever tried in my life. Second day I choose an orange fresh, Orange Fanta is a dream compare with what they serve us. And overall cats they were sleeping in the kitchen…
I really believe that you put your own reviews on booking, not other people that they stayed there.
A single towel in the room! We have to swim, to wash our body and our face. 3 minimum. The swimming poll was dirty… And many others stuff that they are not normal…

Room was huge! We had 2 surfboard bags and pram, and they set baby cot up in our room but we still had alot of space in the room. The pool and garden was also big for our toddler to run around and play. Also well looked after and clean. Breakfast was great and served from 7am. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very nice place to stay. Peace and quiet. There was few warungs and cafe within walking distance.

Breakfast was great, banana pancakes your delicious. Garden was really very pretty, especially in Uluwatu where lots of big trees are slowly being cut down. Beautiful pool! View was nice.
Didnt have my own balcony, there was a light outside my room and the curtains didnt block out the light. The pillows and mattress were quite hard and I didnt sleep so well. Unfortunately there was a rooster farm nextdoor.

Beautiful little hidden gem just 3 min from all the hussle in uluwatu in a quiet side street.
For me the large lush garden and the beautiful large pool were an absolute plus. We loved relaxing there in the afternoon and often had the entire place to our self. The apartments are spacious and very clean and bright. Only the pillows are uncomfortable other than that nice large beds with good matrasses and nice clean towels every day. Cleaning everyday and beautiful breakfast included.
The staff is wonderful as well! I definitely rate the place and would love to come back here. Good value for money!

The room was nice and good space to store all your things and had a pool view as well as ocean view in the distance.
The beds were a bit to hard for my taste, however it was really nice to have twin apart when traveling with a friend

The rooms are clean, the staff working at the reception and in cleaning are amazing. Davu Sundara is only 3 years open and that shows. Breakfast is simple but good.
We had two big rooms one of the rooms had two double beds. It would be nice if you could stay there with kids. They only allow kids up to 3 in the room.

The location was excellent, close to the surf/ beaches, cafes, shopping, yet still private.
The staff were very nice!
The breakfast was excellent!
Our rooms were clean and nice!
The pool was lovely, got in to cool off every day of our stay!
5.0 / 10.0
- Facilities looked nice at first sight, and rooms have good areas (but a bit outdated)
- in the first day, the person in the reception was very kind, giving us a ride to a restaurant (suggested by him, 2min driving distance)
- very expensive for the service provided
- the worst breakfast we had: it took more than 1h30 to be served (after the order and being the only people waiting for breakfast) and the quality/ quantity was medium/ poor (eg they forgot about some of the orders , the pancakes were with too much honey )
- second day , we just gave up from the breakfast (despite being paying for it, it was destroying our plans)
- staff looked not well trained and prepared (eg we had a lot of mosquitos inside our room - which is normal given the location - but the staff was unable to understand that we needed a spray to kill the mosquitos … it took more than 15 min to explain them)

The pool area is nice
I rarely write a bad review, I just have to in this case.
I will list the issues in order of gravity.
- First and biggest issue of all is they were digging a well right next to the rooms block. I mean a giant 10mt tall drill was digging a hole to find water and was unbearably loud for many hours each day. Impossible to be in the room and impossible to be by the pool.
- The bathroom smelt of sewage real bad. Which is not acceptable, especially in the dry season.
- The breakfast was stale and tasted old/ weird. I am still sick, potentially from that.
- There is a rooster farm next door with roosters caged in the sun out the front all day. They are understandably distressed and it’s constantly loud at all times of day and night.
We paid good money for this place, it was the most expensive accommodation during our holiday in Bali, but it was hands off the worst. Zero value for money, totally unacceptable.
The staff usually aren’t the owner so I don’t think they’re at fault, but whoever is responsible shouldn’t be allowed to operate a hospitality business this way.

The room was very spacious and clean and it was a good price.
my room didn’t have a window and the only view was to the corridor. The impersonality of the room, big but with the feeling of emptiness.

The breakfast was very good, a lot of choices to choose from and I'd strongly recommend the mee goreng and the fruit smoothie bowl. There's also a choice of drinks, fruits and also fruit juices included in your breakfast. All cooked fresh so be prepared to wait about 30-45 mins for your food.
If you're an animal lover like me you'll enjoy the company of the resident dogs Nala and Noodles. They are so cute and affectionate and food driven so be prepared for their stare down when you're eating at the dining area.
We enjoyed watching the sunset from our room on the second floor.
Rooms are cleaned daily which we appreciated. Sheets are not changed often and bath towels are changed every 2-3 days of your stay.
The bathroom lacked proper hanging items, no place to hang your bath towel and clothes and when given this feedback to the staff they just shrugged it off and didnt provide any hanging racks in the bathroom. As the establishment is relatively new (about 5 years old) most of the amenities are still in good condition.
The swimming pool was relatively grimy and moldy. We took a quick dip and decided to stay away. There's an abandoned hut next to the pool which they could use as a mini bar/snack bar area serving drinks and coconut water, there's tons of fresh coconuts growing around the compound.
Also with their vast area of land, it would be nice if they can grow their own veggies and herbs and cook them for their breakfast to the guests. Would be a nice extra touch to a fairly mundane looking villa. Somehow Davu Sundara is lacking some charm overall.
Food/restaurants were quite a distance away, have to walk quite far out or take a grab. Not near any beaches as they described so felt a little ripped off. Even Padang Padang beach had to take a grab out (about 7min drive)
