Incredibly kind staff, always helpful and with a smile. Gorgeous location with a view that made the steep stairs worth the effort!
We had some issues with the AC, but the staff was always there to help us as quickly as they could.

the view was clearly the selling point! having the ocean as the first thing you see when you wake up is an unmatched feeling. the staff was lovely, very helpful and always available! i had a problem in my room and it got solved in 3min. i did not even mind the stairs to go to the property, thanks to the view, and they have carriers to carry your bags up or down the stairs.

The amazing view and clean/comfortable room
Only thing I can pick on is the ceiling leaking water significantly

The stairs but it was on a cliff so had to be done!

The pics and process buying on booking. Com was misleading

Very unique
The stairs for going down were a lot but that’s ok because you are close to the Beach

Suitable if you want a beach room far from anywhere.
We had booked the Deluxe Double Room which was not as expected from the site's photos. The room was tiny, tired and damp. Despite it being incredibly warm they had a heater on as if to help dry the room out. When we told the staff that we were not satisfied as it wasn't as we had expected there was no attempt to offer us an alternative/try to improve our experience/ask for feedback. Instead they just reminded us that there would be no refund - something we were aware of and willing to forfeit so that we could find another accommodation.

The location
No air conditioning there was no refund when we could not be accommodated to another room. Waste of money the walk with luggage is too far the parking location is horrible accident causing.

The property is stunning. Balconies overlooking the ocean. Swim straight out into the ocean.
It’s gorgeous once you’re there. But it’s only for active/fit people as there are a million steps down and up to get there.

The price was right.
Good for a solo adventurer
When booking the hotel there was NO mention of 250 uneven stairs to get down to the room. Nor mention of monkeys getting into your room.
So it was false advertising.
The hotel is called Le Cliff. Which makes it sound like you are at the top of a cliff.
Not at the bottom of the cliff. It should be called Le Cave.
The room was very small, very hot and it didn’t feel all that secure.
If I had been booking for anyone with any slight mobility issues - it would have been disastrous.

The Property is right in the water! The views are incredible, sleeping with the sound of ocean was amazing and super relaxing, there’s also room service from the restaurant which was great! Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
In the high tide there’s not much of a beach nearby, mostly the water, so keep that in mind if want to lay down somewhere. It’s also down the cliff by staircases, so you might need to plan your day around it.

I stayed in room #7 and it was a few feet above the ocean. The waves were crashing on the seawall right in front of the porch. The menu options were perfect for any meal and priced accordingly. Everything can be billed directly to the room. The luggage porters do an amazing job with a smile.
The 200 steps were real. Tip the luggage porters properly.. :)

The hike of 200 stairs out of the hotel, but it is nice that the hotel staff helps with your bags.

Oh wow- where do I start! I felt like I was so far away from the world itself & it was perfect!
I had just come from a week long retreat in Bali & just wanted my last night to be quiet, tranquil & to feel like I had no worries in the world.
The view is the best ever, with the ocean below (I was in room 4) if you want to be right next to the restaurant area and bar this is the perfect room.
The staff were incredibly and STRONG!! They blew me away carrying my luggage like it was empty!! They were accommodating & helpful & brought food to my room in the evening.
I felt like I was in a Paradise and wish I'd been able to stay longer.
The ocean and cliffs are a photographers dream and the sunset at the end just made it wonderful.
If you're looking for a hideaway, away from the hustle and bustle and noise, this is the place
The stairs!!! Lol 282 to be exact!
I am not the fittest person & as I did not look up where exactly I had to walk to, this was my own fault!
Going down was ok...but coming up was a nightmare! When you get down the initial stairs you have a flat walk for abit THEN MORE STAIRS! BE WARNED!! This is NOT for anyone with disabilities, wheelchairs or even a cane! You will not get down.
This has to be taken into consideration with this stay...but getting there is worth it.
Coming up..I think I left my body lol
But my driver stopped to get me water because he could see I was struggling.
I couldn't walk for 3 days after but Le Cliff I love you and I'll do lunges next time to do it all again

The Le Cliff is unique and very cool such a perfect stop to relax after 7 days in the hustle & bustle
The food was average and they ran out of a lot of things which isn’t ideal due to the location you can’t just pop out & grab anything

The location is incredible! Plenty of stairs so be prepared but unbelievably beautiful views!
The shower in our room wasn’t great, we made it work however there was no hot water and the pressure was very bad.

Great views and experience. The staff were lovely.
The stairs are next level. You really need to plan your day around them. We are fit but they took our breath away. Great views along the way though. Great to see monkeys but we couldn’t leave anything on the balcony and they made us feel uneasy. The rooms are small and a little run down. Also at high tide you couldn’t access the beach.

Location, views, being able to watch the surfers in the water, the sunsets, the staff were all incredibly nice. Getting there isn’t as bad as others put it. It’s a 10 min walk up or down regular stairs.
My room wasn’t worth its price. Tiny, no room for the luggage (I had to put it on the bed). The water from the shower came out uneven/annoying. The sink was dripping. The room would fill up with food smell from the kitchen. The terrace didn’t look like the photo, with no cushions to lean on.
I got food poisoning from eating Mahi Mahi from their restaurant. They were going to charge me for the food when I was checking out—I had to ask them not to. They did support me with a coconut and a glass of milk to help with the symptoms.
There’s music all throughout the night, and you can feel it till early hours of the morning. I was looking to relax with the sound of the ocean, but the bass didn’t let me.

beautiful location
nice rooms
coordinating transport and porters was a little bit problematic given the number of stairs to walk up to the carpark and then the lack of connectivity in the car park.

Mixed - location was amazing but access in and out tricky. Room was very small and smelt quite badly of damp. Food was amazing but you had to watch out for the monkeys.
The view - I could sit and want watch that ocean all day.

Very beautiful location and very nice room with balcony and beautiful view over the sea. We loved the view and personal. Great that we could order food to our room. Good food.
Very many stairs that made us stay a bit more at the hotel then we would orherwise. Also a bit trouble with water sometimes but it was ok!

What a place! Rooms overlooking the ocean, amazing! It was so rustic and just how we had imagined!
Overall, loved everything, but if there is a negative it is the steps - however, we knew before we came to expect them, so we just took them in our stride!

Amazing Views. Amazing Surf:
Happy husband happy life 😀
Most people don’t like stairs Or monkeys….. if you know how to deal it’s all good. I am old 50 yr old lady - and I loved it.

Fantastic location with stellar staff. Would definitely come again! Especially the night shift worker Jose who went above and beyond to give us good service
The waves could be a bit loud in the night , but that is to be expected at this location

The views and location are unbeatable. The rooms have the best views in Uluwatu, with incredible panoramic views of the ocean, and beautiful sunsets. Staff were very communicative, and room service was excellent! The rooms are fully equipped with all the amenities you could want.
Not much not to like! Some people complain about the steps but as a 37 year old man with an active lifestyle, it was really not that bad!The property gives ample warning about this! And staff are extremely helpful in helping you with your luggage. And there’s always the option to get to the beach at low tide without having to take the stairs!
9.0 / 10.0
Views were amazing so close to the beach rooms literally over the water. Staff were very helpful and the rooms were nicely decorated and clean. The surf our the front is super fun and beginner friendly as well.
The only access in and out of the accommodation is by a 5 story flight of outdoor stairs. If you are healthy and mobile it wouldn’t cause any issues but the staff will help you carry your bags. Be very conscious of monkeys as well!

The views were amazing, staff very accommodating and friendly.
Nothing but there is a lot of stairs to get to the property.

Oh my, the view is everything! The sound of the waves during the night. This property is insane & very calming/relaxing
The stairs!!!! However if you go up and down in the morning or evening it isn’t too bad.

Stunning location, sunset views were fantastic
Lots of steps up and down, but it is entirely worth it for the location and views

The view was nice
Long walk down 230 steps, and couldn’t get out along the beach either, so only way to get in and out was by a heap of steps. Bath towels when ‘fresh’ smelt like BO, ants in the room and in bed at times, room smelt a bit strange; and bathroom being outside the room wasn’t ideal in the middle of the night.

It was such a beautiful room with great views! The room was clean, and we even got to see monkeys from our balcony. The food at the restaurant was also really good.
There were at least 200 steps to get down to the room

The view
Where to begin. Knew there was a 10 minute walk but didn’t realise there were so many uneven steps. Not well advertised that part. Our room was very smelly, small, could not order cocktails, our showers were cold, the shower water leaked out of the bathroom and down towards the front of the unit like a stream, our room had a light that flashed all night long like a lighthouse. staff didn’t empty our toilet bin and we never got 2 bottles of water on our last day and we asked 3 times and never received it. Our friends stayed at the rock and reef. Same price way better facilities. Larger room with a couch inside and outside plus 2 chairs. Modern, clean bathroom and there was a pool and much less steps. Would never stay here again but would love to stay at the rock and reef.
