Yadoya Manjiro

Beautiful Ryokan, very cozy and well-located in the old borough. Walking around at night is magical. The room was gorgeous and the food is excelllent. The staff was extremly kind and helpful and they speak some English which makes things easier. Before sleeping they left us some food as desert which was a nice gesture. I would strongly recommend it and I’d love to come back. It’s great both for a couple and a family. We were also lucky because we were alone and we didn’t have to share the bathroom with anyone. Thanks for everything!!!!

They only offer the breakfast. It would be fantastic if they also offer the dinner.

Abbiamo apprezzato la gentilezza del receptionist, molto educato e pronto ad aiutarci, anche in inglese. Ci ha consigliato un ottimo ristorante per la sera, economico e di buona qualità. Ogni sera ci portava un piccolo spuntino con frutta e dolcini. La posizione del ryokan era PERFETTA, ci ha permesso di visitare la zona al mattino quando non c'era ancora nessuno.

La camera non aveva la doccia privata, ma era in comune con altre stanze, dettaglio che ammetto di non aver letto ma che ci ha un po spiazzato. Siamo arrivati con due valigie grandi e la strada non era comodissima, ma il receptionist ci ha aiutato sia quando siamo arrivati che andati via. Un' ultima cosa riguarda il prezzo: era un albergo a tre stelle ma il prezzo era alto, ma okay data la posizione centrale; non ci siamo trovati con i commenti lasciati su booking, che lo definiscono 'favoloso'.

This ryokan is fantastic! The location is perfect, good for visiting the old part of Kyoto, in a quiet corner despite being close to busy touristic spots. The house and rooms are absolutely beautiful, surrounded by luscious garden. The host was very friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. It is amazing!!

The room was incredible, deeply rich in Japanese culture while still having all of the modern amenities. The entry way as well as the shared spaces all flowed well and showcased how thoughtful the host was.
