A little gem with great staff.

Such a lovely hotel in a great location, in the heart of Sirmione but far enough away from the crowds. We were welcomed with a smile at reception who gave us information on the hotel and personally showed us our room on the first floor. We had a DBL with balcony and lake view. Very comfortable and clean. Fresh daily breakfast, plenty of choice and lovely staff. We spent a couple of hours on the sun terrace which has lake views, and it was so peaceful and relaxing.

There are no Tea/coffee facilities in the room

This is an exceptional hotel, run by the fabulous Margherita. I was impressed by the fabulous staff, and the location. The breakfast offered many choices including traditional sweet cakes. One evening I dined at the restaurant which was also lovely, sitting alfresco. Sirmione is a magical place with local activities and cruises on the lake. The Sunset Cruise was relaxing and enjoyable, returning via the castle moat was amazing! Market day in Bandolini was a great experience with many bargains purchased and a light lunch on Lake Garda.

Perfect location and wonderful owners and staff

The owners and staff could not have been more friendly and helpful…. we were greeted every time like we were friends rather than this being our first stay. The hotel is very traditional in its style and design, so if you’re after a boutique hotel, then this is not the place for you. However, it is the perfect location at the tip Sirmione peninsula, with bars and restaurants in strolling distance in one direction and Jamaica Beach in the other. The owners pride about their place clearly showed through and I would definitely stay again. The rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels if needed. Breakfast was a buffet style with fresh croissant each morning. The roof top terrace was perfect for sunbathing and the icing on the cake would be a plunge pool for when temps soar!

Transportation. As an alternative to booking a taxi to arrive (we could not give a time as we were flying in from London) it should be noted that a regular taxi from a railway station would be permitted to enter the historic area.

Would recommend the hotel and we hope to be back.

We were well catered for at breakfast including gluten free cereal and bread. Food was fresh and varied. Location was in easy walking distance to the beach or local shops. The room was more than adequate for size.

Electrical socket in room to charge phone or iPad. A jacuzzi on the sun terrace to cool down in the 35 degree weather would have been ideal.

Very bad experience, bad smell

There was a TERRIBLE smell of rotten eggs from the spa nearby, we asked the receptionist for a solution, she did not agree to give us a different room or cancel our second night. They also turned off the ac for the whole time we were there and didn't turn it on after we asked 3 times from 3 different people. we couldnt open the window or the door (the hotel itself has a VERY strong smell of air freshner) or use the terrace because of the smell outside, so the room was hot and smelled bad. Very bad experience. the receptionist was very unkind and refused to give us any solutions for the problem (in the reviews other costumers were at least offerd a fan for the room) Also, there is a lot of mold in the shower and dust in the room, the beds are old and the sheets had green stains on them.

The location of the hotel was excellent, near the main sights, but might require some walking with luggage since the streets do not accommodate large vehicles. The breakfasts were also excellent, especially the baked goods, which were tasty and freshly baked. The hotel is an unusually good value for the money.

The Staff steal the show and make this the best hotel I've ever visited

It is really hard to choose where to begin with this review as everything was amazing. The room was clean, had all the essentials, and the cleaning staff were lovely! The only negative thing I can think of in regards to the room is that room key powers everything in the room, including the AC and the fridge. This was only a minor inconvenience to us, but still worth noting. The restaurant in the hotel is on another level. I am leaving a separate review for that with more details there, but in short, the breakfasts were nice, but the lunch / dinner and cakes were on another level. Easily one of the best restaurants in the area that we visited (and we visited a lot on our stay). The shared terrace was a lovely place to chill out on an evening and offered a spectacular view. But I've saved the best for last. The one thing that makes this the best hotel I've ever visited, The Staff. All the staff were amazing, and went out of their way to help us when needed. They were always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. This is elevated even further by the amazing owners Elia and Margherita. From the moment we arrived, Elia was helping us with our bags, laughing and joking with us, and helping us in any way that he could. Margherita was also a star, helping us plan trips to Gardaland and figuring out ways to get my family to see the Giro d'Italia as it was passing the lake while we were visiting. Elia and Margherita truly made the trip special and made us feel part of their family while we stayed at their hotel. In conclusion, this hotel has it all. The location is great, the rooms are clean, the food is amazing, but nothing can top the care that the staff and owners bring. There may be hotels with more stars in the area, but Elia and Margherita are the true stars of Sirmione

The room key powers everything in the room, including the AC and the fridge which on longer days out resulted to returning to warm drinks.

a well run family hotel, one feel like part of the family

a very welcome atmosphere, great location, very attentive management as was the staff. the room was clean and reasonable in size. breakfast was in abundance for this rated hotel, did not have special orders requests but the staff were willing to assist with any request within their restricted operation. The hosts were very helpful, eager to assist with any issue that may arise. a very complimentary compliment to Elia and Margaret s well as the rest of the staff.

Don't hesitate.....just book it

Every aspect of this hotel is spectacular. Check in to check out was amazing. Every member of staff was superb at their job. The food at breakfast was top quality and kept us going for hours.

There was a smell at times but I realised it was the sulphur coming from the Thermal spa which is just to the back of the property...beyond the hotels control.
