I can see why it is rated 4 stars - it definitely was once very fabulous. But now it needs a lot of renovation.

Great hotel with amazing stuff

Amazing stuff Clean Comfortable beds, working and quiet AC, warm room in winter Perfect location Restaurant - delicious food and for hotel guests they offer discounted menu. Breakfast - solid 4* hotel breakfast I have no complaints. Everything was great, exemplary stuff, receptionist... Check in was at 2pm which I used, if you need store luggage after check out, nothing is problem. It's not brand new hotel, but this hotel is very nice and services are amazing

Location was fabulous as well as price!

We booked this hotel last minute and was great value for the money. We got a room with a view of the lake which was fantastic. The room included a tv but not a smart one with most channels not working. Internet was almost nonexistent and kept dropping. Our room came with an included breakfast that was fantastic ( eggs, meats, cheeses, yogurts, cereal, fruits, pastries etc) The location was fabulous!

Almost nonexistent internet and tv. Room could use some updating and real sheet used on beds. We had two half sheets in a queen bed very strange.

Great location

Good location in Sirmione, east o walk to everything. The pools was small with not many loungers so you needed to be committed to get one early. The rooms was nice with old wooden flooring, but elements of the hotel did feel a little tired. It’s right next to the thermal baths which we definitely recommend a day at!

A pleasant stay to see Lake Garda

The hotel is located in the heart of the town. The rooms are spacious, the swimming pool is excellent and you are in walking distance of the lake. The staff here were particularly friendly. Lake Garda is expensive but this hotel was reasonably priced.

It is worth noting you have to walk 400 metres to the hotel. The parking arrangement is good, which includes a spot at another hotel and a taxi to the town (15 euros per day) but in hot weather it was a slog with the suitcases.

Kind and pleasant stuff!

Hotel is fine and clean, the location is superb. You have easy access to local beaches and to old town. We had two situations during our stay. One was not perfectly cleaned room, which was put in order later and the second one was our fault. Our little daughter unfortunately vomited in the pool. Bad and embarrassing situation. The stuff was great, helpful, not even a hint of our gilt, problem solved with smile on the face. This typical Italian good mood showed by the stuff in their best way was the truth reason, why I put 9 in the rank. We felt good here. Breakfasts were fine, nice quality, we enjoyed.

The room was not perfectly cleaned, but they put it in order later. Furniture in bathroom was not in best shape, little bit old and low quality.

Good food, great service and location!

After some reservations on seeing some reviews, we need not have been worried. The hotel was excellent and fantastic value for its location! It's located really close to the old town (about a 2 minute walk), but manages to feel a world away with how quiet and serene it is. It's a short walk to gardens and the beaches by the lake, making it ideal to explore the peninsula. The room was basic, but spotlessly clean with a large, comfortable bed, well-appointed bathroom (small, but all you need) and a large balcony. The air conditioning was excellent too - needed in the heat. The breakfast was really good - ample food, fresh and a great variety to keep you full all day. We also had dinner at the restaurant which was lovely. We had great pizza and steak, and it felt like a very peaceful place to have a drink and eat if you didn't want the buzz of the centre. While we didn't use the pool (we preferred to use the lake), it looked nice and clean and was set in lovely gardens. The staff were also excellent - efficient, friendly, and enjoyed having a joke with us. At times they were busy with the restaurant, but they always came over to say hello to us and have a chat. I really can't understand the bad reviews as this certainly wasn't our experience. It's not luxury by any means, but it's well located, clean, has great food and good service. I'm not sure what more you need.

very pleasant stay

We had a really pleasant stay at the hotel, the staff were extremely nice and helpful. The room was spacious and had all the necessities. Very good breakfast with a lot of fresh produce and various options. I liked the location a lot, it was a bit on the side from noisy touristy streets but still in the very center of the town

There were some bugs in the ceiling of our room at night time, they didn´t bite, but still we felt a bit uncomfortable

The hotel was in an excellent location. We had a huge terrace, the beds were confortable, great buffet breakfast and friendly staff. We irdeeed a pizza when we arrived and it was delicious!!!

Loved the location, in old town close to ferries, ruins and cafes. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room needs maintenance. Shower rose holder is broken although a new one has been put on it is floppy and held up by the broken one. Only one side of the French door out to the wonderful balcony can open..

In general the hotel was comfortable and the staff were very supportive and their hospitality is rewarding.

Uniquely located in the middle of the historic village. In proximity to both the commercial area, archaeological site, and other touristic sites such as the thermal bath and swimming beach.

A bit of furniture renovation would add more value.

Very good location only a minutes walk to restaurants and shops. Good air conditioning all around the hotel. Pool was nice but not like the pictures.

Apart from the hotel needing some TLC the staff weren’t very helpful except for one man. The lady on reception needs more training as she refused to issue a receipt at check out and ended up delaying us 25 minutes for taxi to airport. She also told us to search on Google for any info about the area when we asked about pharmacy/supermarkets etc. Not very professional in my opinion. There was no atmosphere in the hotel it felt like we were the only ones staying there at times.

Exceptional

Location, Location, Location The hotel is so perfectly located in a lovely quiet side street, only a short distance from the heart & soul & hussle & bussle of Sirmione. Jamaica Beach Sirmiones best beach is only a short walk away or take the road train located 50mts from your hotel. The hotel staff are really lovely, friendly & nothing you do, ask or say is a problem for them. Some of the reviews on here are a little disingenuous about the decor, really? You really are not in an episode of “Four in a Bed. The hotels, Location, Pool & Staff make this the place to be. The tranquility & quietness once you get away from the crowded centre make this place a little slice of Italian heaven. So in summary, look above the superficial & enjoy every moment Sirmione has to offer.

pool and rooms cleaned everyday. location was amazing and parking which is rare. staff were lovely. we had two balconies one large overlooking the pool. staff were very helpful . pool was fantastic very clean and relaxing. breakfast had a lot of choice considering catering for all nationalities.

ants in one area the room however I have been elsewhere and had this issue. wallpaper coming off walls and sockets. it needs TLC but very good value for money given the breakfast, pool and location. hotel was fairly empty probably due to low rating which meant little atmosphere however we were hardly in the hotel as so much to see and do.

Cheap and just about OK

The management had my booking and there was somebody in reception when I arrived at around 7pm - later than I had originally intended as I came on the train and did not need the parking space I had requested.

The whole hotel and its facilities needs investment. The swimming pool needed cleaning, there was never anybody in the bar and it was difficult to get a drink. Breakfast was OK but no hot food. The worst thing is that there was nothing in the bedroom mini-bar - not even a bottle of water. Drawer space in the bedroom was non-existent. There is a large restaurant but the hotel was only serving breakfast. The carpet on the main stairs was dirty and needed replacement and the decoration in the bedroom was gloomy - maroon and sludge colour. Overall service was a bit like Fawlty Towers, reception could not print out our train tickets and the QR codes as their computer was too old fashioned. The staff were pleasant and the rooms were clean and it was not expensive. But whoever owns the hotel needs to do some serious updating and improvement
