Lovely hotel and excellent staff

Amazing hotel with even more amazing staff. Everything was so clean and smelly. They cleaned our room every day. The breakfast is served fresh and there's plenty of options. Everything was delicious but the pistachio muffins were "man oh man" 🤤😍. The hotel has bikes for rent. We rented ones and went to Desenzano. Lovely tour and ride i recommend. The pool was lovely too.

The breakfast was good, with a fairly diverse selection. The opportunity to have breakfast on the terrace was a definite plus. The room was clean.

Value for money: the price was overpriced. We had to wait a long time for the staff to check us in, and no one responded. A double room was turned into a triple without considering its size. There were not enough towels in the bathroom, and the standard set of toiletries was missing as well.

Not the cleanest of hotels (stains on bedding and towels, ants in the room, strange bugs in the bathroom). Breakfast could be improved by adding some fresh vegetables.

A very nice location and a good value hotel

Hotel Dogana is in an excellent location. It's a few minutes' walk from the lake side and equidistant from Sirmione and Pescheira. Buses run regularly to both towns from outside the hotel, and the owner has several bicycles which can be rented very economically to travel back and forth. The cycle lane network in the area is good, and driving behaviour is for the most part very responsible. The hotel has nice facilities, the staff are very helpful and friendly and we were impressed by the standard of cleanliness.

The continental breakfast service is good, but it would be nice to have more fresh fruit. The scrambled eggs were left in a small oven and were hard and unappetising.

The attached restaurant is good. The bus stops right in front of the property. Breakfast speard was limited but good.

The room is very small for the price and distance from the town. Without a car it will be difficult to travel around.

Amazing hotel and staff.

We couldn't fault the Hotel Dogana, the hotel was beautiful. The facilities were great, the pool area was lovely, the room clean and comfortable. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was great. It was a great location and you could easily get around the area, the hotel had bikes to use free of charge and you could easily use the bus, the stop was right outside the hotel.

There was nothing we didn't like.

The rooms had no views decent views The breakfast room requires at least one more bean to cup coffee machine unfortunately during the evening of our stay the hotel had an electricity fault and lost power to the rooms for ~ 2 hours

Apartment is near the hotel, some 50m away, but you can use hotel facilities and breakfast was served at the hotel. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of choices. Apartment was clean and well equipped. Location is near the Sirmione, but you cannot walk to the town central area, because it is few kilometers away. Bicycle or car is a must. Parking is available at the apartment. Staff was very friendly and helpful

Our apartment was on ground floor, with not much natural light, and facing the street, but it is still good value for the price, especially if you just use it for a sleeping, as we did.

The road noise gave us a little nuisance. Probably it would have been better to take a room towards the lake. It's a pity the attic rooms have only the ceiling windows.

Hidden Gem among many options in Sirmione.

I've had an amazing experience staying at Dogana. everything all facilities are well-maintained, clean, and give an overall impression of being newly renovated. Check in process is easy and quick. Max at the reception was extremely hospitable and accommodative. Internet: I've had to take care of a few work related calls during my stay. The speed was high enough to handle video calls with ease. Also, there were no cellphone coverage dead zones neither in my room nor in breakfast, or reception area. Bed and linens: Mattress was firm but with enough give to get comfortable sleep. I didn't have any aches after a night of restful sleep. Comforters matched the season and kept me warm at night. Bed linens were all bright white and again gave me impression of being new. Towels: Clean, well maintained, without any musty smell that you get over time with use. Breakfast: The quality of food and selection served for breakfast was on another level worthy of a breakfast served in a 5 star hotel. In Italy quality of produce far exceeds that of the US. breakfast included scrambled eggs and bacon, variety of deli meats, cheeses, beverages, pastries, fruit, cereals, etc. whatever your preference is you’ll find something to eat.

I have no complaints about this hotel. It’s a hidden gem among other hotels. if you prefer to stay at the hotel with freshly renovated facilities I would choose to stay here. This will be a great option to stay if you travel on a car. Taxi service in Sirmione is great but keep in mind that Italians work to live and don’t live to work.
