I liked this place and recommend for a relaxed and family stay.

Excellent service and staff, very helpful in all my requests. Room has everything you need and very calm. Good massage cabinet located at the beach and the sea front restaurant is a very good choice. You don’t need to go outside the hôtel.

The stairs to the beach itself from the hotel doesn’t exist and it is steepy. The hotel should make an effort to construct a convenient descent to the sea. Some evenings I had a moisture smell in my room, maybe coming from the river nearby. Also it is a pity to only sleep with an air conditioner- no nets on the windows in the room.

Great location, lovely rooms set in nice gardens. Basically on the beach. Nice pool and plenty of sunbeds both on the beach and by the pool. Short walk to lots of local shops and restaurants

The bar/restaurant area was a little soulless…good service and great drinks but it lacked ambiance.

Magical and just superb

Beautiful rooms, excellent service and they were always cleaning. They were always checking to see if everything was okay. The massages were the best I have ever had!

Pool can be cleaned more as sand on the steps, but can be blown in from the sea. The housekeeper accidentally opened our room at 5:15 in the morning as he got the wrong room. They did apologise and gave us fruit as an apology

Wonderful spacious rooms

Great staff who were attentive to our needs. Lovely pool especially late in the day. Huge comfortable rooms (including adjoining for us and our teen sons) Quiet and peaceful set well away from the highway. Well sited for shops and restaurants and lots of taxis for further afield indeed most attractions and even some restaurants pick you up. Main meals and snacks were tasty

Sadly the access to the beach is very eroded but can be accessed with care. Some rubbish on beach (not hotel fault) No sea swimming (red flags at all times due to riptides (again not hotel fault) Cooked breakfast not very nice but plenty of other options.

The peace and quite, access to walk on beach, despite the erosion. Cleanliness of room and service by cleaner. Gardens were neat. Pool great and plenty of pool beds. Location to shops and restaurants.

Pillows were a bit hard. Having a coffee percolator was a good idea, however a kettle is essential for boiling water.

This property was excellent. The bungalow accommodation with beautiful front verandah and large comfortable chairs were ideal. They have interconnecting bungalows which are perfect for families. There were many bungalows on the premises but very well positioned so privacy was assured and so it seemed like there were very few people around. This resort is on the beach/Andaman Sea. There is a small wave and very suitable for swimming. The swimming pool was a beautiful resort style pool. Breakfast had a large selection of choices and beautifully presented. The staff could not do enough for us. Every request met with a smile and actioned immediately. I was sad to leave and if staying in Khao Lak again I will stay there.

Perfect stay in a wonderful little hotel.

Great little hotel right on Nang Thong Beach near Khao Lak lighthouse. Small & Sweet. Lovely gardens. Authentic Thai. Completely accessible, they even have a beach / water floating wheelchair, and pool hoist. Rooms are huge, well commissioned, balcony, tea & coffee, water, air con. The only feedback I gave the hotel is that the pillows are flat and a little hard. Breakfast very very good. Meals and drinks incredible, Sandy Beach Restaurant served some of the best food we had in Thailand, really very good. Beach good, although they have allowed some of the sea defences to show, which some people mistake for rubbish. Pool exceptional, as are the beach massueses. Staff incredibly welcoming and attentive, couldn't do enough for you. Great location, at the bottom of Khao Lak 'strip' of shops and restaurants. Transfers arranged by hotel very well. Incredibly good value. We stayed for 12 nights had lots to drinks and eat and our hotel bill came to £390.00 for two adults! Would definately recommend and come back.

Lovely nature theme resort with excellent pool for kids

This was my second stay in Baan Khao Lak in 10 years and it was as good as the first time: 1. The staff as very alert, friendly and helpful. For example, if its raining when we pull into the parking, someone would come with an umbrella rightaway 2. The pool is hands down the best pool of any resort we stayed in during our 2 weeks trip. They thoughtfully designed many shallow spaces for kids to swim all around the pool, and even have an assisted chair for the elderly to enter and exit the pool easily. 3. Breakfast was satisfying with many options of thai and western foods (not enough vegetarian options for my wife tho) 4. The location is great as its right at the start of Bang La On town, which makes it really easy to access anything you need.

Frankly, the beach wasn't the best of our trip as it was very wavy (hence some surfers) and not as clear as other beaches we had been to, but luckily the great pool design more than made up for it.

Nice resort, area has been spoiled by ugly development so not great.

Grounds around rooms are lovely with lots of greenery and plants. Rooms are nice but dated and dark. They could be greatly improved with a coat of white paint on the walls and painting all the black woodwork cream or white. Rooms are comfy and the shower was good. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Swimming pool was nice. We never had a problem finding a sun longer.

I liked the resort. I just didn't really like the area. Going right out of the hotel up the beach was not very nice. The main road up from the beach (which is to the right if facing the sea) is built up with ugly restaurants completely out of keeping with traditional thailand. The area doesn't have a nice look at all. If you turn left on the beach and walk that way, the beach is lovely. Very pretty and good for swimming.

Very nice place, been there twice !!

The bungalows are two per house. If your neighbour is a smoker ... the smoke will come into your bungalow via the aircon. Hotel administration should try and keep smokers 'together' ... and no-smokers too. My 2 cents ...

we had a wonderful time here as a family holiday. Khao Lak was very quiet and still recovering after COVID’s Travel restrictions. staff were lovely and helpful and we enjoyed our stay. We would stay here again if we came back again.

Prachtige plek met veel groen tussen de huisjes. Altijd genoeg bedjes bij zwembad of op het strand. huisje was mooier dan gedacht van de foto's. Genoeg winkeltjes en restaurantjes op loopafstand. vervoer van en naar Night market is makkelijk te regelen. Ontbijt prima.

Airconditioning maakte enorm veel lawaai. Te warm om uit te zetten. Slapen was dus ondanks het enorme bed niet echt goed mogelijk.
