Beautiful setting, amazing beach and views. Very quiet and peaceful, always able to get a sunbed. Beautiful swimming pool. More of a local feel within the jungle rather than a shiny western type resort. Rooms were comfortable. Breakfast was fine with lots of choice. Very easy to get into Khao Lak centre. Visited local elephant conservation place, was only half an hour away. Only one bar/restaurant at hotel but there was another beach one right next door and it's only a few minutes drive into the town where there are plenty of shops and places to eat.
Service at the bar/restaurant was very slow even though there was hardly anyone there ever. Staff were friendly and welcoming but didn't seem that clued up when asked about things, couldn't give any recommendations for anything. Definitely more of an eco option but that meant the plumbing and bathrooms were a bit more basic.

Beautiful, relaxing section of Sunset Beach. To get into town, the resort has a taxi service, and there’s also a taxi stand right across the street from the resort entrance. The staff are very friendly, and the grounds are gorgeous.

The location is quite nice, nestled in nature with a beautiful surrounding area that includes two types of pools and a beach. The restaurant near the beach is pleasant and reasonably priced, and the breakfast is exactly what you’d expect from a hotel at this level. A major highlight was the massage—it was great!
However, the place is only 'okay' overall. Once you see the Paradise Resort nearby, you realize what a resort in this setting is actually supposed to look like.
Value for Money: This is not a cheap hotel, so I expected a more premium experience than what was provided.
Room Issues: While the room was spacious, the TV was surprisingly small.
Booking Discrepancy: We didn't receive the room we originally booked. We ordered a forest view with a balcony but were given a garden view without one. (Note: This may have been a misunderstanding between the booking site and the hotel).
Staff Service: I found the staff quite difficult to deal with, which echoes previous reviews I've read. Interestingly, the general staff members were much more cooperative and helpful than the team at the reception desk.

Beach front, quiet, nice pool, and private.
The communication from the resort was poor. We enquired about a transfer from the airport; however, we did not confirm, however, a taxi was sent to the airport anyway. We made other arrangements. Before arrival at the resort from the airport the resort emailed us and requested, we call them. They tried to pressure us to return to the airport to take taxi they had wrongly arranged. We advised them over the phone this was not possible. On arrival at the hotel the staff were very argumentative and tried to pressure us to pay any out of pockets. We refused pointing to communication exchanges. The manager finally agreed to look into this the following day as it was late, and we were tired. However, this matter remained unresolved for the rest of our stay. This made us feel uncomfortable for the duration of our stay.
