Loved the location, the facilities and staff were charming. We were six girlfriends on holiday and all shared three traditional bungalows which were all comfortable, spacious and clean. Very peaceful resort to relax and enjoy nature.

Nice Thai style rooms, spacious for two. We didn’t use the outdoor bath tub as perhaps we’re just not used to it. The water pressure is good. Very close to the beach Just a walk across the road. Breakfast spread is fairly good and changes everyday. The staffs are extremely friendly and made the experience for sure. Especially the lovely trainee Mild in the breakfast room.

Few mosquitoes will escape in due to old Thai style doors opening system, but they do have insect nets. The area of this resort is focused on foreign tourists and I have to be honest that the prices of food and transport in this area is highly overpriced in the high season. However this isn’t about the resort directly. The pool was nice but considered small relative to other hotels.

Fair value and super spacious rooms

VERY spacious and clean rooms. Conveniently located a block away from the beach, and just a couple of busy streets for shopping, eating, massages. Free parking (would be good to have more spaces but we were never left out).

At a resort of this price point, I would expect better trained staff. Sometimes it seemed like it was difficult for them to accommodate non standard yet simple requests (e.g. can you heat up this cup with soy milk?). Very few had even a basic understanding of English. No fitness room strictly speaking but they provide access to a sister hotel just next door. fitness room is small and has little / outdated equipment. One of the treadmills does not work at all.

Great family friendly resort

Very friendly staff that loves kids. Breakfast was great with good variety. The whole resort is build in a very relaxing atmosphere with a lot of plants and water.

The wooden floor was quite loud when walking in the night and the room had a connection door to the neighboring apartment which was not very well isolated and during night and could have been a bit more quiet.

A great resort to end the holiday in.

A very relaxing resort, quiet and comfortable. The staff were lovely and welcoming. We experienced a water festival which was very well done with food, singing, dancing and decorations. Room was spacious and comfortable. A short walk into the town. Great range of breakfast selection.

Beautiful relaxing resort. Staff friendly and helpful

Beautiful grounds, very peaceful and quiet and relaxing. Food was excellent. Customer service was very good. Staff tried very hard to please. We were able to check in early and also manage a little bit of a late checkout which was helpful for our next location.

A little underwhelmed…

Staff seem lovely and attentive and the breakfast was very good. The grounds of the resort are very pretty.

This is advertised on Booking.com as being beachfront and having a private beach area, which is incorrect and misleading. Whilst the resort is beautiful with lots of planting and scrubs, it’s set back from the beach, which is public and there is no private access or area. The beach is also not suitable for swimming or bathing. We found the pool area to be crowded and there was a musty smell in our room, despite having aircon on during our stay.

Lovely place

Large room, comfortable bed. Bedside tables, lamps and plenty of pillows. We were very close to the pool. The pool is nice with lots of sunbeds. The breakfast is good, offering a variety of choices, including Thai food, fresh eggs cooked to your liking, fresh fruit, pastries, freshly baked bread, fresh juice, and a coffee machine. Happy hour cocktails were delicious. There is a bar next door and a market. Short walk to the beach and the main road.

Beautiful old style Thai property in a fantastic location

Beautiful, old Thai style property. Stunning gardens, very serene- it feels like you’re in a lost world at certain times of the day. Wonderful spa, comfortable beds and clean rooms. Good breakfast, great location and friendly and helpful staff. Good sized pool with a good value food and drinks menus. We have stayed at the Bhandari a few times now and would go back again- there’s definitely something special about this property :)

The property is feeling a bit tired in parts but this is also part of its charm. The air conditioning is fiddly to use so you’re either freezing or sweating because you end up turning it off! The rooms could do with a few more charging points and a full length mirror

Traditional Thai style

Beautiful setting, the resort is traditionally Thai. We stayed in a bungalow which was lovely. Gardens and ponds all well looked after. The pool is nice with plenty of sunbeds. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. All of the staff were very helpful. Across the road from the beach and a short walk to the shops, bars and restaurants, highly recommend it.

Last minute booking was a highlight of our stay.

We booked a few nights last minute because we were not happy with a place we had just checked into. We thought "at least it can't be as bad as where we are" and it didn't fail to meet all our expectations. The pool area was beautiful and had good drinks and food. Breakfast was very nice - lots of choices and good service. It is across the street from the beach and within walking distance of some shops and restaurants. The room was a very nice size and very clean.

The work out facilities didn't have any fans to circulate air and didn't have any towels to wipe sweat off of the machines after using them.

Pretty hotel by the sea

Very pretty hotel with good facilities. We stayed in a bungalow which was spacious and had a comfy bed. All the staff were friendly and I had great massages at the Spa with Nee. Good working AC and choice of pools. Will definitely return.

Rooms are a bit tired, with marks on walls and holes in bedsheets. The room service is a bit expensive and the breakfast buffet is fairly standard. More storage would be good, like a chest of drawers. I would also suggest a better system for the cleaners. The clean laundry gets left on your porch at the beginning of the day. When you come back after breakfast or at lunch the dirty laundry is then on the porch, along with the rubbish and any dirty plates. It then seems to be left there until the afternoon when someone collects and makes it feel a bit dirty. However, the cleaners were very nice.

The negative remarks didn’t stop us from having a marvelous stay at Bhandari Resort. Loved it!

The pool and breakfast but most of all the staff. They were all excellent, very friendly and helpful. Always a smile on their faces. Our cleaning lady, Noon, was fantastic and she always made sure we had enough water etc. She made some figures of the towels to put on bed. Lots of small things to make you feel welcome. The bed was comfortable and A/C worked fine.

The room could do with a facelift. Bathroom had not enough light, no plug for the hairdryer and the cupboards were nearly impossible to get into. The shower stall needs some new paint etc. The faucet to the sink leaked outside, didn’t matter how low or high water pressure.

Staff were excellent, nice pool area and the room was spacious and authentically decorated. Hotel was really peaceful. It was my birthday during our stay and I was presented with a birthday cake which was a lovely surprise.

Breakfast was plentiful however the pastries were limited.

Beautiful resort right next to the beach

Beautiful small resort with stand alone bungalows. Wonderful big room with huge comfortable bed. Impeccable staff - so friendly and helpful. The resort is a 2 minute walk to the beach and a 10 minute walk from lots of shops/restaurants/cafes. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of variety. Lunch and dinner at the pool bar or main restaurant were both fantastic and reasonably priced. We also enjoyed treatments at the on site spa - again, we couldn't fault the staff or service we received. We would definitely come here again :)

Only one small point - there is a small gym which is sufficient for a basic workout but some of the equipment could do with being updated.

Tranquility

Although you are not far from the main strip of restaurants and shops, it is so peaceful and relaxing. Birds are singing and water is bubbling. As soon as you walk in you sigh and smile. The staff are fabulous as is the food. Can’t wait to go again.
