This place was very disappointing, dangerous access from main road, receptionist lady promised evening delivery service the left for the day. The male staff did their best with a bad situation. Pool dirty and unusable, internet not working, adverising restaurant but not open, the walkways dirty. The rooms are ok but we had to move as the air conditioning was not working. Just a disaster.

We were very happy overall with this Resort. When we arrive we were upgraded to a better room with a beautifull view... Very friendly reception... Very friendly staff!..The steps to the beautifull private beach were a bit difficult.... but as we knew about it....It was no problem... The breakfast was okey.... We also had a very noce dinner at the restaurant on site...Overall will come back again to this resort....

Amazing location on a hillside overlooking the sea and Khao Lak. Beautiful pool with a great view as well. The restaurant food was not good, but other than that this was a good stop for one night after our liveaboard dive trip.

Very nice hotel with cabana style accommodations overlooking the beach and Adaman Sea. Cabanas are clean and bathrooms are fairly contemporary with hot water. Staff are extremely pleasant and helpful, especially the main receptionist/concierge Patcharee J who speaks quite good English and offered much good advice about shops in nearby town Khao Lak and side tours.

First impression of this hotel is that there is no hotel as it is located on a cliff and you only see the reception room from street level. It’s location is ok (not ideal) as it sits on the edge of steep cliff within short walk to beautiful beach. The age and condition of this hotel leaves a lot to be desired. It is clean but dated and very rustic. Ok for backpackers not sure about 3 and 4 star customers.

Staying at Baan Krating Resort was wonderful and it felt like we were among the trees of the forest. I really enjoyed the boardwalks and seeing a variety of bird species in the tops of trees at eye level. From the resort we hiked to Khao Lak National Park entrance to hike the coastal trail of this National Park.
