Right on the beach. The beach is clean, not crowded. If you just want to laze around with a dip or two this is the place. The staff is efficient and prompt.

We chose Khaolak Wanaburee Resort last minute to celebrate New Year’s Eve with the family, but unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by poor management practices. From the moment we checked in, it became clear that the management prioritized upselling over customer satisfaction.
We had booked a room with a double bed and a bunk bed, explicitly confirming in advance that it would accommodate our group of three adults and two children. However, upon arrival, they claimed the reservation was mistakenly made for only two adults and insisted we wouldn't fit, attempting to sell us an additional room at a much higher price—an unacceptable solution that would have doubled our budget.
After lengthy negotiations, and pressure over the family, they offered a "compromise" by placing us in a family room (exactly what we originally booked) but demanded an aprox. 50% surcharge, resulting in a total cost of over €700 per night, including the New Year’s gala dinner.
The prices per room type displayed at the reception desk were way smaller than what they charged and when notified about this they said that there were not updated.
While the beach was undeniably beautiful, the management’s approach left a sour taste. It’s clear they don’t value returning customers or recommendations. If you’re considering staying here, beware of potential upselling tactics and lack of accountability, despite the resort's picturesque location. Pay attention to the number of guests and ages.

Whilst a little worn in places what strikes you about this place is the way the concrete and wooden structured blend into a jungle setting adjacent to a beautiful beach strewn with massive boulders. We stayed on December 2024 in an estate room ground floor with a nice veranda overlooking a pond with fish and massive lizards. The gym is well equipped and while some of the bakery items were disappointing there is plenty else at breakfast to power your day. There are taxis and tuk tuks waiting at the top of the drive to whist you into the chilled bustle of koa lake and as you expect in Thailand the staff could not be nicer. We loved it.
