A comfy stay to unwind!

A very big comfy room. It was very clean and comfortable. The bed was enormous and it was comfortable. The bathroom was very convenient because we had both a shower and a bath. The building is old and they maintained the old style but made it comfy to today's need.

We were sleeping under the roof and the pigeons were a nuisance. we could hear them walking on the roof and doing noise.

A gem in the mountain!

Located in the heart of this delightful and small town. The room is very clean and well-equipment. Every staffs are friendly. We had a great time during the whole stay. Also, there is a great restaurant downstairs. Deserve a take. Absolutely a great choice of GATEAWAY!

The breakfast is a bit pricey since there are not many options.

Nice design in the rooms and good location

We started to talk in English and we were talked back in French by staff. If you put "English" on Booking, then don't be rude and talk back in English or let us talk to an English speaking employee. Also, our room was cleaned ONCE in a week's time.

Overall a positive experience

The room was huge and the decoration was quite nice. Mini bar very reasonably priced. Breakfast was very good, excellent bread. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The lack of a proper shower. On hot days I can imagine the room borders unbearably hot as well. Would be nice if there was a bit more stowage area for clothes.

Super comfortable room with amazing breakfast

The best continental breakfast! Really spacious rooms, tastefully decorated with lovely furnishings. In the centre of Durbuy on a really nice street. Easy to access by foot.

Confused access as building it currently under renovation - does not affect the room at all just makes you unsure where to check in if you're following google maps (until you read the sign).

Wonderful room in the heart of Durbuy

Perhaps the best place I've stayed in the Ardennes. Our room was huge, and quite charming. I might have preferred it a bit better lit, but perhaps others wouldn't. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, but I did miss orange juice. Will be back!!!!

Good

Centrally located and the breakfast was very good.

We visited Durbuy for the first time in 15 years and were a little disappointed with the change. The little cozy town became too touristic. We stayed at the apartment attached to the hotel. There are some bars nearby the hotel and it was noisy until late at night on Friday. The furniture was old, but it was ok for family stay with small children. It was difficult to lock the door.

Nice comfortable hotel in a really pleasant town, its a bedrooms only building as its main hotel is a few buildings over the street where checkin, all breakfast and dining is done , buffet breakfast was very good staff were friendly and helpful

Musty- but amazing location

The location was fantastic! Right around the corner from lovely shops. We had the breakfast at the hotel and it was fabulous. We were well taken care of and they were very accommodating!

There was a very musty smell in the building. After getting home we realized this was likely due to the flood that happened recently in the city. The bedding of our first floor room felt damp - and either the detergent or the moisture gave our daughter a rash. They switched our room and we had a great remaining stay. You are close to the restaurants in town which also comes with alot of street noise. A fair trade but worth mentioning if you are a light sleeper.

Not recommended

The location was good, right in the middle of the old centre.

People drink, smoke and chat right outside the bedroom, it was awfully noisy until late at night. The door opening to this part - kind of a terrace for the hotel - was left open by the cleaners, all the smoke came in. Luckily, nobody entered as we had our valuables in the flat. The apartment was dirty: floor, dishes, surfaces. The water temperature in the bathroom was burning hot and I wasn't able to change it (only searing hot or cold). We ended up having a bath every day and I had to add cold water from the sink using pots from the kitchen. We didn't choose to get our dinner from the hotel restaurant because it was awfully overpriced and restricted to 3 or 4 courses. If you don't want to eat this much, no option for that.

DKoppel met hond

De stijl van de kamer, de grote en dat er ook een zeteltje was. Ook was er een minibar aanwezig. Het ontbijt was enorm lekker & we hebben ook 1x n de avond in restaurant victoria gaan eten (super lekker). Ee was veel ruimte voor onze grote hond op de kamer en ze mocht ook binnen in de ontbijtruimte wat voor ons heel belangrijk is.

De douche, de douchekop was zo oud dat dit uit de oorlog leek te komen, deze mag zeker eens een upgrade krijgen want je kon je hiermee totaal niet deftig douchen. (Kamer 12)

Close but no sigar, geen hotel gevoel

Receptie/ontvangst ok (Victoria), Lekker ontbijt (+20,00€ pp bovenop de kamer prijs). Ligging is zeker een pluspunt. De tip die we hebben gekregen om op een bepaalde parking te parkeren, bedankt daarvoor 9,00€ gans weekend!

Wat werkpunten: Siliconen/dichtingen rond bad, vervangen. Los en lichte schimmel! Prijs/kwaliteit uit balans. Voor een ouder koppel is dit hotel niet zo geschikt, geen douche, enkel ligbad. Ontbijt nemen op een andere plaats (Victoria). Douchegel is vervangen door handzeep?!

Slechtste verblijf ooit

Letterlijk niks

Als ik een nul kon geven deed ik het. We hadden kamer nummer 2. Na weken eindelijk als koppel nog eens buiten kunnen door een chronische ziekte is dit echt het laatste wat ik had verwacht. Deze review komt ook op Booking want oooh wauw! Bij het binnen komen van de kamer roken we onmiddellijk een zeer vieze geur, een putjes geur. Ik en mijn partner dachten “goed we laten het water eens goed doorlopen en zal wel weg zijn” zo gezegd zo gedaan na 2x 15 minuten hadden we het gehad. We zijn toen de eerste keer heel vriendelijk naar de receptie gegaan. Ze ging binnen de 10 minuten op onze kamer zijn. Na 30 minuten nog niemand te zien. Wij gebeld, ze ging onmiddellijk komen. Perfect gesprek in het Nederlands trouwens: We hebben alle respect voor de drukte en dergelijke maar de onmiddellijk veranderde naar nog eens 15 minuten: toen kwam iemand van de poets binnen. Super vriendelijke dame! Heeft ons proberen helpen maar met een zeer gevaarlijk product (mijn partner kent dit zelf) en mag niet zonder handschoenen of masker op gebruikt worden, ja als longpatient is dit niet het genen je verwacht. Het probleem raakte niet opgelost dus ik en mijn partner zijn even gaan wandelen, ons liefste hondje even in de bench om hem te laten rusten na al een lange drukke dag. Telefoon naar de receptie gedaan weeral om te vragen of er al een oplossing was. We waren blij geweest met een geurstokje of dergelijke en een korting. Verstond de vrouw die de dus al hele tijd hadden ineens geen Nederlands meer. Dus wij richting de receptie van hotel Victoria. Toe ze vertelde dat ze op de kamer geweest was en niks aan de hand is? Zonder onze toestemming met onze persoonlijke spullen en het allerbelangrijkste in ons leven. Toen ben ik kwaad geworden. Er was niks aan de hand en de vrouw stond ons gewoon uit te lachen in ons gezicht. Jammer maar helaas zijn mijn oorbellen en ketting verdwenen. Ik heb hier niks van gezegd omdat ik helemaal overstressed naar huis zijn gegaan.

Zeer goed gelegen, gezellig hotel.

Zeer goeie ligging ! Verzorgde kamers. Vriendelijk personeel.

De lift is heel traag ! Je moet 's morgens , tot 10u30, en 's avonds ,vanaf 18u, de nachtingang gebruiken. Dat is wat onhandig door de steile helling bij het binnengaan. Ontbijt op andere locatie.

Een heel aangenaam verblijf voor wie Durbuy wil beleven

De check-in vond plaats in Hotel Victoria, waar ons een kamer werd aangeboden omdat Hotel Lea geen gasten had. Het ontbijt wordt in Hotel Victoria geserveerd, waardoor we op het aanbod zijn ingegaan. De medewerkers aan de balie waren heel vriendelijk, je voelde je onmiddellijk welkom. De ligging van het hotel is perfect
