Guesthouse Mozart - Apartment House

Charming building and room, renovated, nicely decorated and cleverly organised, although small, everything is there (including fan, which was enough even for very hot days over 30), in an old historical building. I stayed there tree times and will come back. Wi-Fi works fine. Check-in clearly explained in e-mails. Good contact with the owner, immediate answers (but I had no problems actually).

Room very small but ok for one. Noisy in the evenings if windows open but the earplugs are enough.

The apartment is centrally located in Salzburg Altstadt (old town) and is within walking distance to cafes, shops, the river, and Salzburg train station! Perfect for those interested in a walkable neighborhood!

The only thing I can say I didn’t “enjoy” is that we had hoped to sleep late everyday and the cleaning crew (who are so polite) had to come twice in the morning during our 10 day stay. It felt a bit awkward.

The location was amazing! It was just around the corner from the main sites of the old town and an easy walk to the fortress funicular. The space was comfortable for our family of five, everyone had a bed and a good night's sleep. The space was very clean and accommodating. There was no air conditioning, but provided fans which helped a lot. There were some wonderful restaurants nearby so finding a good place to eat was easy. Parking is on your own and a bit of a walk, so be prepared.

The pre check in process was very time consuming. Filling out the online form ended up being a pain. I filled it out numerous times and still was contacted to do it again. I felt like it was one thing after another that needed attention to simply check in. Once completed, it was all good. Also note that leaving your luggage here is at your own risk even though the online information said that they can hold your luggage. It was just leaving it in the lobby and hoping no one bothered it. Don't plan to leave anything you wouldn't want to possibly lose. We were surprised that this was the only option. We didn't have anything walk away, but it made me a bit nervous leaving our things. The walk back to the car was a ways, so we just took the risk. Also, the water heater was unusually small and only had enough hot water for one or two really fast showers. Not a huge big deal, but with five of us staying, it was not convenient.
