Shame the bed was bad

Lovely hotel,

The Bed was terrible, every time you turned over it woke us up, very noisy needs attention, pillows very flat. We did t sleep at all

Very stylish room, comfortable and nice breakfast in restaurant next door.

Very pretty and comfortable room. Although I had to go next door to get some help (I was a bit early) the staff were really helpful and pleasant once I found them. The room had lovely decor, and the bed was comfortable.

. Not sure how the heating worked in my room, and no instructions- had 2 plug-in electric heaters, and it was never really cold, but not that warm either. Quite expensive for the location and the way it is run (i.e., no full-time reception, seemingly no central heating?)

Comfortable and cosy hotel that exceeded my expectations

Had room 12 and it was perfect for a single person but would be very comfortable for 2 people. Plenty of space, clean, comfortable beds. Dinner at the next door pub attached to the hotel was also very good. I will be booking this place again in the future when I next come to Birmingham.

Nice stay

Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Bed was comfy and shower was good. Pub next door was flat out serving Sunday roasts but served food all day so we were able to get a meal in between lunch and dinner.

Windows didn't open, even on ground floor.

I did not meet any staff, and unfortunately the WIFI was broken, but I was made aware of that.

Good value bed and breakfast close to city

Very clean room with hot water and comfortable bed.

Flooring in shower room needs attention. Bed frame was very creaky. TV had a very poor signal. WiFi was down but I could get a signal from the pub next door.

Parking was perfect, room was delightful, staff lovely, food at the pub next door was really good - and gluten free well catered for.

If you wanted a coffee you had to go and get one from the machine in reception.

A great stay

The rooms were a good size and the decor was lovely. The bed was very comfortable too and a decent powered shower.

Our room (room 8) smelt damp and musty. The heating was set to 24 degrees which I discovered in the middle of the night when I woke up very warm.

Lovely hotel, very convenient for Botanical Gardens and easy access to the centre of Birmingham

The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The hotel was well situated in a very nice area and not far from bus and tram routes. Hotel had a sitting area at reception with a fridge where you could help yourself to fresh milk for tea and coffee and chilled water

Hidden gem in the centre of Brum.

Great location for Birmingham City Centre. We were attending a concert at the NIA and the High Field Town House was perfect. With it being just off Hagley Road it's away from the noise but still close to everything. Great checking in system with the key code for the front door & to our room and the pub next door is an added bonus. The bedroom was amazing, easily one of the best we've stayed in & the bed is definitely the most comfortable we've ever stayed in.

Great for a one night visit to Birmingham

Room was lovely, spacious, clean good quality bed linen and towels. Great shower, lovely bathroom toiletries. Tea, coffee and biscuits. Convenient parking and the breakfast was excellent, great choice and tasty food. The accommodation was well situated for the city centre if you don't mind walking and it was far enough outside so away from the bright lights and busy streets.

The room was too warm for us to sleep well and there were no windows to open. There was also a constant fan/extractor noise like someone had left one on in a room or it could have been from outside, couldn't quite track where it was coming from. Wasn't the best night's sleep but I have had worse.

A wonderful hotel and pub with fabulous service.

It was located in a nice, quiet road, well back from the street. The room was beautifully decorated and furnished with gorgeous antique furniture. The bed was huge and super comfortable and snuggly. Lovely quality tea, coffee and biscuits and tops were easily available in the lounge- also beautifully decorated. The staff were exceptional - they could not have been more helpful and friendly! Amazing service! The food, decor and service at the Town pub next door was also exceptional.

Really comfortable hotel at a reasonable price

Really nice room, well appointed, spacious, clean and comfortable. Good location, not far from city centre. Parking was available which is a nice bonus.

A couple of minor items weren’t functional (desk lamp and heated towel rail in the bathroom) and if there had been a manned reception, we would have got those addressed as it was only early evening when we arrived. But the issues didn’t seem important enough to bother the team at the pub next door.

The mattress was too soft for my husband and l, but that’s really just a personal preference. Bedroom was tastefully decorated and well thought out.

A lovely place to stay

Easy self check in. The room was beautifully styled with a good supply of hot drinks/water provided. We opted for Bed and Breakfast and we were not disappointed at the breakfast service provided at the High Field pub. (Only a short stroll from the hotel). I tried to arrange another night's stay but wasn't surprised to find the High Field Town House was fully booked. If we are in the area again we would happily stay again.

Fab place

Had a great stay here - room was warm and cosy with everything you could need. Very good location and the free parking is a big plus.

The only thing I would say is that the metal bed frame in the room was awful - it made a sound every time you moved which meant I didn’t get the best sleep. I would change to a solid wood/fabric frame!

Location

Lights in room didn’t work and kept tripping. Heating not working. Pillow cases torn. Tired room 10.. needs updating especially the electrical fault tripping lights!

Nice room and shower. Excellent breakfast in pub next door. Lots of parking. Clear instructions for finding and entering the hotel.

Felt a bit odd that hotel not staffed. When we arrived it felt like an upmarket university hall of residence. Did not meet any staff at the rooms but staff in pub next door were super friendly.
