Disappointing uninformed

We were told before booking it was valentines weekend & that they served Sunday roast dinner but was so upset to learn when we rang down to reception to book a Sunday roast sitting we’re told no Sunday roast only afternoon Tea was available with no explanation, so we were forced to leave out of the hotel in the terrible weather rain /snow to get a Sunday roast meal :(

My stay was comfortable and relaxing, with friendly staff, clean rooms, and everything I needed for.

I loved how spacious my room was. I enjoyed the full English breakfast and particularly enjoyed happy hour at the executive lounge, which was on the same floor as my room.

Nice Hotel with a view.

The hotel had a very inviting and relaxed atmosphere. The staff were welcoming and polite, as anticipated. Check-in was a quick and easy process as was check out.

That bed in the room was awful. I had the worst night's sleep. After being out with friends for a Christmas dinner, I got back ready for a good night's sleep. But the bed was lumpy and hard. I could feel every spring. I'm surprised a hotel of this caliber does not more closely monitor the condition of their mattresses and furnishings.

Kings room is no more than an average premier in room .window with view was that dirty we could not see . Complained only to be moved to the next room with same issue . Not worth the money . Disappointed at £184 pn

Try not to charge guest twice for there stay

I got charged twice . Which cost me great inconvenience. And still haven’t received a refund. When I told the staff about this, they said might be an error and nothing they can do . They didn’t care about the inconvenience. How can you charge someone twice?

Big mistake.

Location and presence of small car park at the front albeit it cost £27 to park overnight.

Heavy room doors which make such a noise which was annoying given that people were leaving and entering their rooms frequently until 3am. Very odd!Uncomfortable beds. Pillows were like bricks. Never again.

Beautiful stunning hotel in Birmingham City centre, excellent value for money.

The Hyatt hotel is the best I have stayed in, in Birmingham city centre the decor is beautiful. We stayed on 14th floor with a view of Birmingham library and The Big wheel. Beds and rooms beautiful, even left us a birthday cake. The bar staff were lovely, I paid £7 for a bottle of cider. £25 per person, all you can eat full English buffet, Bacon, Sausage, Eggs, Hash browns. You could also have a variety of cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts, meat and cheeses, Also croissants, other pastries. Variety of teas, coffee and juices. The waitress staff were very helpful and caring, they looked like they all knew their roles.

Maybe allow to check in before 3pm.so you can have access to swimming pool and spa. No security on the door on the night, checking who was coming in and out of hotel.

The taps in the bathroom sink and in the shower were almost impossible to operate as we both have weak grips.

I loved having access to the pool for most of the day which is something I loved and also have the bath in the room and the lovely rooms

It might just be me but me and my family was on other floor and if we wanted to pop down to see them or give them something it was available to do so because only your key card would work on your floor only so was a little annoying have to go down to the lobby and ask them to come down to just to get to another floor

Location was nice. The spa was quite nice but the steam room was luke warm rather than hot.

Service in both restaurants was very slow; to the point where I gave up and went around the corner to Wetherspoons which was much more efficient and about 1/3rd of the price. The aircon fan in the room was very noisy and it took 15 minutes to switch off once you switch it off on the panel.

We didn’t have brekkie because it cost more than we we willing to pay. It’s a nice hotel, we had a room with a view which was lovely.

It wasn’t very clear where le petite chef was - it was a different restaurant name. The spa area was nice but small so got quite busy, all the seats were taken. To be expected as it was a weekend.

Uncomfortable

The cleanliness

My initial interaction with the lady I checked in (around 22:30)with was superb, I had travelled over 2hours for an event and intended on having a late check out as I was likely going to be tired for the drive back. I got back to the hotel around 5 am. I was having a conversation with some and the security guard unprovoked was rude telling me to get out of the was when there was literally absolutely no one. I then told him if he wanted me to move out of the way he can say it nicely and then he continued to repeat it in a rude tone so I then said I stated he if either bring racist or has terrible customer service because there is a nice and polite was to telling someone whatever he was trying to convey. The guy then started shouting at me as to why I said my statement, as I was tying to repeat myself he kept cutting me off in the end there was no reason for him to have spoken to me in that manner. Rather than de-escalating the situation he had been exacerbating it. I explained that I am guest here and should feel welcome and safe to be here. I eventually walked away. I was so uncomfortable about the whole thing I couldn’t rest. I I got changed to go for a walk when I bumped into another guys and they spoke to me about my experience and helped me to cal down. When I guy back to my room I still felt unsettled, so I called a friend of mine to come and get my so that I could leave. I ended up checking out around 8am.
