Very clean and peaceful place to stay. Especially, the staff are highly professional, kind and helpful

On arrival ،I was welcomed and booked in by a very kind and polite African lady. The room I stayed in was so tidy and clean. In the morning before leaving the hostel, a very kind and polite African gentleman named Daniel booked me out. I asked him if I could have a cup of boiling water, he did in a very polite manner.

Clean room, comfortable bed with curtains and really spacious bathroom. The room was also equipped with mirrors, chairs and hangers for clothes. There was a misunderstanding with my room, but the girl in the reception was kind enough to give me a different one where I ended up being all alone and I really appreciated that!

Although there were drawers to put your things, there wasn’t a way to safely lock them. Towels were available only for rent, so make sure to pack one if you’re not willing to pay for it.

Staff is absolutely lovely and kind. Duvets were quite comfortable. Altogether, great value for a one night stay - though I personally would not stay any longer.

The streets surrounding the hotel are quite decrepit and eerie to go through at night. The bunk beds were scarily rickety and the floor seemed soft in some parts...?

Really unique building with a nice atmosphere. Bed was comfy and clean. Check in was easy. Staff were very friendly.

The toilet in the en-suite hadn’t been cleaned properly before I arrived, and had urine stains on the seat. Room had no curtains or blinds on the windows, making it very bright at around 4am onwards when I was trying to sleep. Loud noise/music from the venue next door ongoing until around 3-4am, and loud rumbling sounds every-time the shared bathroom was used across the hall. Whilst not entirely the fault of the Malacuna, this paired with the lack of curtains/blinds led to a very restless night.
