Very pleasant retreat from the activities along the beach. Peaceful, beautiful place

The room was lovely and having breakfast outdoors in the beautiful grounds was a treat.

I would stay here again.

Great spaceous room as advertised. Very friendly staff, always willing to help. Great value for money. Located just a very short walk from the main high street and beach. Offers airport car pick-up at very good rates. The access road is a typical Asian road / lane. This makes the homestay even more private. I would stay here again.

Good value

We really enjoyed our stay in the budget accommodation. Really good value for money, room was big and airy, ac worked well, bed was comfy, bathroom was large and clean and we could use the kitchen in the house. Gede and staff were excellent at helping us out with everything we needed. The room didn't have any outside space but there was a small patio off the house which was lovely to sit at and enjoy morning sun. The free water was a great touch, would love if more accommodation did this. We organised in room massage through Gede really easily and for an ok price, it was fantastic. Only 5 min walk to the beach, supermarket and many great Warungs.

Like many have said its a local area with lots of noises as soon as dawn breaks.

The homestay was very pleasant within a tropical garden setting.The location to the beach was only about 250 metres directly in front of the homestay.Very convenient.Also there was a local chicken meatball soup street food cart just walking distance to the left.Very cheap and delicious

I suggest that the management could supply an electic jug to make coffee or tea,and supply complimentry coffee,tea and sugar.Most travellers and not familiar with heating water on a gas stove ,in a pan.

Great location and super friendly staff

The staff is really friendly and gives you recommendations for activities. The location is really nice, close to the beach and some dive schools.

The airco didn’t work well. Sometimes it was really cold and we couldn’t change the temperature and sometimes it didn’t work at all.

Exceptional

The bungalow is super spacious and has a kitchen inside which made a big difference for us as we were able to cook our own food sometimes, giving us freedom to buy things and store in the fridge. The location is nice and the little garden is cute!

Not really about the property, but in Bali in general there are too many roosters that spend the whole day singing like a rooster competition, so pretty much 3 in the morning they start, stopping only around 7pm and there were some that were close to the property which made it a bit challenging.

The location is the best thing about this property, even though keep in mind that it's on a dark street at night you should walk to get there.

While booking i haven't paid attention that the room comes without AC and bathroom is outside of the room, which didn't help during my stay. The room is very hot and even with a fan it wasn't manageable.

everything was just great, we only stayed one night because we left the next day for our roadtrip. it is a bit outside of ubud so you need a motorbike but it is super quiet over there and a really cozy atmosphere

Everything just perfect

I had a wonderful and comfortable stay at Kirana. The staff is incredibly lovely and helpful. It's a beautiful place, very clean, with everything you need. Joni can drive you around in his very stylish pink car and you also can rent a scooter. Would definitely go back again and recommend it!

The budget room was too smelly and a quite dirty

The location is good and very quiet, at the beginning of Amed; the garden surrounding the guest house is cute and it has a nice terrace to sit. The staff is super nice and they were helpful when we asked to change our towels due to the humidity. They also provided some towels for the beach, which was very nice! The common area for both budget rooms had a very nice table and chairs where you could sit comfy and nicely; the kitchen was quite old and a bit dirty though.. Renting the snorkel equipment is very cheap and good.

We stayed in the Budget Double Room, but the bedroom where we stayed is not the one that appears in the photos. To be honest, the price was cheap but you could find more decent places for this same price. Probably the bungalows are better as they have airco and are better furnished, so if you want to try to stay here, I would suggest trying the bungalows and not the budget room! The sheets of the bed were broken and had holes; the mosquito cover stinked and was super dirty; the bedroom and specially the bathroom smelled too much humidity and had some mold; The fact that the bedroom had not AC did not help with the humidity smell/feeling. All the plugs in the bedroom were in a very bad condition, just hanging out of the wall; The furniture was worn and very old. The bathroom was not clean: dirty toilet and dirty floor; If you stay here, make sure to keep your window closed at all times; we even found a big cockroach in the closet…

Clean, Quiet Stay Near Amed Beach

Clean place, spacious room and shared dining area, quiet property and good location. I had a scooter, but you could walk to plenty popular spots in Amed. They were also accommodating to my late check-in as I'd booked the room last minute after their staff had gone home.

+big room +Bed very comfy +Water refill for free +Very clean All in all we had an absolute amazing stay! It was so calm and relaxed there!!! Waking up by the sound of chicken hahah and enjoying the rain on the terrace! Would book this place again!

-shower not a good water pressure and no hot water -breakfast not included -pay attention which room you are booking. There are some without an ac...(if you need it) -kitchen in our place what not super clean... But anyways I am not here for cooking

Amed was not a nice place in general... The homestay was very nice the only negative was that there was alot of noise during the night, birds, chickens, cows etc so it was quotes dificult to sleep.

Wonderful Homestay in Amed Beach

The staff were all amazingly helpful and friendly. Putu was the absolute best - she arranged for an early morning boat ride for us, and ensured that we were guided to it in the morning. The food was delicious and the cook was so friendly. The room was amazingly beautiful, comfortable and clean. The value for the money paid was exceptional. The hospitality and service at Kirana Homestay were outstanding.

Quiet , clean and amazing staff!

The room is squeaky clean. The staff and Putu was very helpful and super friendly. We booked a budget room on the first night and didn't realize it got no AC. At the end we moved to bungalow which is way better.

I had omellete for breakfast and it was too salty. Hopefully there's some improvement next time.

The room is like a small apartment with a gorgeous veranda on a tropical garden, perfect for relaxing after exploring east Bali or after diving! The staff is incredibly helpful at all times.

The wonderful staff at Kirana make your stay super enjoyable and comfortable. We stayed for nearly 3 weeks, it was that good. They really go above and beyond.

A friendly atmosphere and good service.

We stayed two nights in this accommodation and we liked it a lot. We had a room with a fan and a mosquito net, a shared bathroom and a shared kitchen. We got to store things in the fridge and freezer. The staff is really helping and friendly, and especially the host herself speaks English very well! She recommended us places to eat and we really loved Warung Ole and Rimba Café. We had some difficulties finding a transfer to our next destination and within 15 min we had a transfer for a reasonable price thanks to our host.

There was a really big spider in the bathroom, and the WiFi was quite slow in our room but other than that nothing to complain about!

Amazing location, perfect for walking home from the bars, the beach and great restaurants. Beautiful clean spacious rooms set in a lovely garden. Nice heavy curtains for privacy. Lovely hot water and a great kitchen set up! Most of all I must compliment the staff, it was so sooo easy to organise plans and communicate. Very quick responses via WhatsApp. I once ordered a massage and in under five minutes the massage lady was in my room! Good for pets, nice big carpark, just overall a lovely set up. Also really appreciate the advice given through the extensive booklet and map handout. Services booked through the homestay are also great value. Very cold air con as well. Super easy and convenient base for exploring Amed! Oh, and some great sustainable tourism practices, loved the gallon of water rather than water bottles, donation program and measures to prevent electricity blow out.

The water pressure is quite low but this is more so a sign of being in a quieter spot of Bali, especially when a lot of accomadation doesn’t even offer hot water.

So glad we stayed here. Putu was so kind and helpful. Everything was set up very easily. It was in relaxing and pretty location. I also loved the back room with bunk beds for our kids.

Kind and knowledgeable owner, good facilities

Very kind owner, she gave us a map and many tips for things to do and Amed! We also rented a motorbike for only 60k/day through the hostel, which was very easy to do and the bike was in good condition. Facilities were great too: large clean bathroom, comfortable bed, clean room, wifi was ok (worked a bit better outside of the room). Very good value for money, would definitely recommend!!
