Great location, clean, spacious and direct access to the water

Location was excellent with great views across the harbour. Clean rooms and great host. Private access to the water was a real bonus and a must for anyone who wants to do a lot of swimming.

Some people may struggle to get easy access to the water via the ladder

Perfect apartment in the Varosh old town with best view of Lake Ohrid.

This is the family’s ancestral plot in the protected old town Varosh. The house was rebuilt approx 10 years ago. It feels very authentic. We loved staying in Varosh old town, it is the most beautiful part of Ohrid. The host family are very attentive without being in the way. Lovely people. It is a private house with 3 apartments. Two apartments have air con. The ground floor has no air con. We took first floor with air con which sleeps 4. We were 2 so had lots of room. We used air con half the time in June. Beds comfy, balcony with excellent view of lake, shower hot, kitchen has fridge freezer and hob. No oven or toaster. There is a cute and useful bedroom dressing table with lights around. Very good for make up. The front terrace is straight to the lake. I swam every day. There is a good local restaurant next door. Many in easy walking distance. Wear flats. No need for heels. It’s very bumpy. A little noise from restaurants, nightlife music at weekend and lake birds but the double glazing was decent enough to get a good nights sleep. SUP Ohrid delivered boards to us which was great fun. The apartment is very clean. We had good food in the town restaurants. Big supermarket at the harbour which meant we could easily make breakfast and lunch as well as eat out. Lovely fresh tomatoes and cheeses. Macedonia loves cheese! Prosecco/Cava hard to find but they sell it at supermarket so we filled the fridge. We had an excellent stay. Walking, swimming, sunbathing, running, eating, looking, learning, relaxing, reading.

If you like an early night at the weekend take ear buds as the centre music is loud and it floats around the whole lake.

The welcoming was “ehhhh” compare to our previous stay. IThe guy was just there to collect the money and disappeared.

Apartment lacks authenticity. Filled with Cheap furniture - Our bed was broken so we had to put the mattress on the floor and sleep on the floor

Location, location, location

The apartment had terrific views of the lake which helped me overlook its problems. Very spacious, and TV had some English-speaking channels. Adequate kitchen gear and big fridge. I'd happily stay again as I absolutely loved the view from the balcony.

Everything is old and basic, so the beds, bedding, towels, etc. are all poor quality. The place could do with a really good clean as so many things felt sticky when I arrived. Wifi came and went so wasn't reliable when I needed to get admin done. Make sure you have the accommodation phone number to hand as it's hard to find because there are no signs from the main street.

A great experience!

The view is incredible. It is a pleasure to stay on the balcony and admire the lake, the mountains, the old town. The room is clean, cosy and large. You have your personal space for swimming and sunbathing. It is close to beautiful public beaches and near Saint Sofia Church. Next to the property there is a quiet restaurant and they cook deliciously. The host is very friendly and helpful.

Excellent location, great view with sunrise on the lake. Large comfortable and clean room. Great with our 2 kids. Quiet and in the center. no need to use the car to visit Ohrid. Restaurant next door was quite good.

Parking was not obvious but the hosts went with us to show us where to park, so it was not a problem. Ohrid's old town has narrow streets, don't take a large car!

Fantastic location, an incredible view, sunrise watching, peace and quiet during the day, kitchen with everything we needed, helpful and responsive hosts.

A very small thing was sleeping in the same room as the refrigerator because of the noise but it was quickly drowned out by the Old Town Liquid club parties.

The view only!

1. The most important, the host didnt speak english at all, and i barely found the apartment after look for 30 min. 2. Only one towel per person and wasnt white but grey. 3. Slippers, the floor was quite cold. 4. No air-conditioner! 5. The host wanted to keep my passport even i had paid for the apartment, thats not safe for the guest first of all and second what if police stops you outside?
