Perfect stay in Ohrid

We loved our stay! Georgi was an amazing host and welcomed us with rakiya when we arrived. We enjoyed talking with him and learning about Ohrid. He gave great local recommendations - we ended up having dinner at his suggestion two nights in a row! The property was very inviting and had everything we needed, and the view from the room was so beautiful - we couldn’t imagine a more perfect location in Ohrid.

Beautiful location with views of Lake Ohrid and a terrace overlooking the lake. at the heart of the old town. Warm, clean room with access to a small kitchen. Very kind, considerate host Georgi who also offers great day tour options including the National Park.

I liked the location of the accommodation, right in the old center of Ohrid, close to the port and everything there was to visit! It was cold in the room, but I had an electric heater, which did its job! The host, very friendly, awaited me with a small brunch!

The only problem was that I booked a room with a view of Lake Ohrid, and I received a room with a view of the street! I asked the owner to change it for me, but he said he was busy! It doesn't seem normal to me, but so be it!

Great location as so close to walk to the centre, fabulous views, simple apartment and kitchen but that's all we needed. We did hear the bar nearby on one night but it finished at a reasonable-ish time. Lovely welcome and close to the major attractions, the lake is simply stunning as is the ancient architecture in the town.

Great place to stay. Had a wonderful week here, comfortable apartment with everything you need, private lake yard, kids were super happy to swim and fish just before delicious breakfast, responsive host that help you to resolve any issue/question you might have. Great location, host helps with car parking. Definitely recommend.

Great vacation in Ohrid

We had a great vacation in Ohrid, active, intense but also very relaxing.... The apartment itself is nice and comfortable. The position is great, you have your own small private beach, very good position in old town, close to some restaurants and also 5-10 min walking to supermarket. You can have nice breakfasts or dinners in front of the lake there, you can jump in the water at any time (even if it happens to have a small rain) ... all these things creates nice memories. The host, Mr. Georgi was very friendly, ready to help all the time if you need something and he can advice you about the points of interests. He offered us a welcome drink, and also prepared good coffee and tea for us, in the morning we left. The old town of Ohrid also very nice, allocate some time to get lost on its streets :).

The host is very friendly, I was offered a welcome drink and food on arrival. The location is perfect, could not be even better, it is especially good in the summertime since there is a private entrance to Ohrid lake right from the property, and the lake itself is very clean and nice to swim in. Great view from the room, also you can listen to sounds of waves if you open your window. The room itself is spacious enough, clean and cosy. Needless to say that Ohrid is a very much charming town. Definitely recommend staying here.

Amazing gem in Ohrid. Peaceful and central.

Very recommended! This was by far the nicest accommodation of my trip. Beautifully located right at the water front, very peaceful yet very close to the center of Ohrid. Also the walk to the Saint John church from the accommodation is stunning. The room is cozy and very clean, the mattress and blankets are high quality and very comfortable. There are very handy outlets just next to the bed to charge your phone. Strong wifi quality also in the room. Host Georgi is very helpful and attentive. Always there to assist you with anything. I loved sitting outside, looking over the water and enjoying the delicious and generous breakfast that Georgi served every morning. Don’t miss out on that. Make sure you follow the directions Georgi provides before you start driving into Ohrid. The city is full of small and difficult (often one way) streets. You don’t want to get lost. Overal, a very positive experience. I’d surely come back.

Nicht empfehlenswert!

Privater Seezugang und Lage sind in Wahrheit der einzige Grund diese Unterkunft zu buchen.

Mit Hausherren und Sohn im gleichen Haus zu wohnen hat mich dann doch überrascht. Nebenher werden Kayaks vermietet, wo wildfremde in „unseren Garten“ ein- und ausspazieren - Privatsphäre ist etwas anderes. Check in war zu spät, Klimaanlage kostet extra und der polizeilichen Meldepflicht für Touristen ist er auch nicht nachgekommen. Zum Abschied hat der Hausherr noch ein Kätzchen aus seinem Garten per Fusstritt hinausboxiert. Das Leben mag an diesem Ort nicht das einfachste sein und Touristen können anstrengend sein, aber dann sollte man anderen Tätigkeiten nachgehen.
