Villa Fortuna

The location was excellent. In the lower part of the old town, close to the shops, the beautiful lake and some wonderful restaurants. An easy walk from here to the upper part of the old town as well. The room was comfortable, peaceful, and had everything I needed. The hosts were friendly and so helpful, answering any questions I had and helping me to order taxis for longer journeys.

Location and cleanness

All good—clean and centrally located!

Great location, host trying to help with what he could, eg. Unblocking toilet, getting us a smaller pillow, because they were too high for us. Hosts son also went and got our friends that were having trouble finding parking and assisted them back to the room. You can see they have tried to provide some amenities in the room like a kettle, some lollies and coffee sachets. They also kindly provided a baby cot and made up a bed for our 5 year old on the couch. Owner put an airfresher in the toilet to help with the smell.

Apart from some positives we had a very difficult stay here and didn't enjoy it at all. The plumbing is outdated, resulting in a strong bathroom odor and a strict "no flushing toilet paper" rule. Both of our toilets blocked during our stay in both rooms, and it took three hours for the owner to come fix it. We actually had to put our 5-year-old in a diaper because there was no working toilet, which was deeply upsetting for him. I asked the owners son if there was a toilet he could use but there wasnt one. The shower is tiny, you can't move around and the tiles also had mold. ​On top of that, there was a major renovation happening next door that we weren't warned about, waking the kids up early every morning. Also, be warned that there are numerous, very steep stairs to navigate. Would not stay again.
