The only thing I like about this apartment is its location.

We chose this place with my friend to relax and unwind for a week, mainly because of its high rating and location. We arrived around 3 p.m. and had a hard time finding someone to help us. Then, a lady—who I believe was the owner—showed up in beachwear, quickly handed us the key, said “your room is on the top floor,” and immediately went back to join her friends. No information or guidance was given to us. The building has its own pier for swimming and sunbathing, which is advertised as one of its main features. However, you can only use it if you manage to find a free spot because there are only 3–4 sunbeds, and they are almost always occupied by the owner’s family and friends. On our first day, the owner and her friends spent the entire day on the pier, and later in the evening, they sang and played music loudly in the garden until late at night. Because of that, we couldn’t even sit on the balcony — which was the only pleasant part of the apartment, thanks to its view. The biggest problem we experienced was with the key system. They give you a code and a single key, and this one key opens the main gate, the apartment building door, your apartment door, and even the gate to the pier. We were shocked to find that out. This means everyone staying in the building has a key that can open every door, including yours. As two women traveling alone, this made us feel extremely unsafe. I messaged the host about it on the first night, but she never replied, as she was busy partying with her friends. We had to block the door with a piece of furniture every night because the doors were old and flimsy. The cleanliness was also very poor. The bathroom drain smelled terrible, like sewage. On the second day, the shower drain got completely clogged, even though each of us had only showered once. When we told the host, she came and pulled out a big bunch of dark hair from the drain and insisted it was ours — even though both of us have blonde hair.

Amazing location and private deck where you can swim and sunbathe. Only few minutes from the centre and in the old town. Beautiful view from the terrace of the lake.

Lots of stairs for our apartment and if you are going with family and elderly could be difficult to move around. If you are family of 4 like we were it is difficult to sleep in the sofa bed. Very thin mattress. Be careful which apartment you are choosing because all the photos from all apartments in the property are together.

We were 4 adults in the lake view one bedroom apartment, the bed settee in the lounge, served a purpose, but the mattress was a little thin and we could feel the bars. More suited to children or shorter stays (we were there a week)

Excellent located apartment for a few days in Ohrid

Excellent location. Spacious and comfortable, with a nice view on the lake. It has everything you need to spend a couple of days. Good price for value.

It would have been 10/10 if the shower would be refurbished, it needs and extra maintenance, to avoid strange smells. Wish I had more details on parking and exit with the car, it seems you need some sort of card to enter the old town and we didn’t know, also we weren’t sure where to park when arriving.

Perfect experience, perfect location

The location is perfect—it is in the best part of the old town. The personnel is perfect and really helpful. The beds were comfy with multiple pillows. It was one of the cleanest apartments I have ever stayed in. I lost my car keys and had to check under the bed and even under the bed was clean. They helped us about parking, they helped us with our laundry.

Just be aware that it’s on the second floor with a narrow staircase (though it wasn’t a problem for us).

The best location in Ohrid

Incredible location - quiet at night but 5 min one direction to the amphitheater, 5 min another direction to the port, 10 min another direction to the famous church overlooking the lake. Lots of restaurants nearby. Really amazing host. We visited in April, and had a wonderful time, but I imagine it’s incredible in the summer — especially the apartments with the balconies!

The ‘kitchen’ was just a kettle, mugs, glasses, fridge and a few spoons. This was fine for our stay, but just fyi for others if you’re expecting to cook or prepare food at home - perhaps book a bigger apartment here (we had the two room garden view apartment). It’d be nice to have two armchairs in one room (perhaps instead of the second desk and chair) so it could feel more like an apartment (ie a ‘living room’ area).

Peace of Lakeview

The location of the house was amazing. It felt great to wake up in the morning and have breakfast on the balcony with lakeview. You can go for a walk in the city and turn back home for little break and you can go out again because it is very close everywhere. The design of the house was also very nice. Houseowner also very kind and nice people. It is a great advantage to have a parking lot in that location.

The floor and some materials seemed dusty. If you are staying on the top floor, the window above you may prevent you from sleeping on a rainy night, it makes a lot of noise.

The Internet was a bit unstable, and we both banged our heads a few times on a beam at the balcony or ceiling in the bedroom, where it was a sloping ceiling due to being a top floor apartment. We're both 180-185 so we had to be very aware after those hits

The location was beautiful, the host was really friendly and helpful. The view was amazing. Location is almost in the middle of everywhere. So you can walk wherever you like. Definitely worth the price.

I would expect a smart tv or a HDMI cable attached. The double bed is actually 2single beds put together. So they separate when you move around.
