Villa Elena - Dolni Saraj

The rooms are very clean and well taken care of. You have everything you need in the kitchen, the beds are very comfortable, and the location in the old town is perfect. Elena and her husband are extremely helpful, welcoming and nice people. We will be back for sure!

Everything was great!

We loved how centrally located it was to St. Sophia church, the upper gate, Samuel’s fortress, and the city square. We also loved that the villa location was quiet compared to other parts of town.

Cozy apartment hosted by a nice couple in the center of Ohrid old town. The house features roughly a hand full of apartments and offers one, maximum two private parking spots in a narrow driveway in front of the house (I assume first come first serve, luckily we got one for our rental car). There was no house keeping which was not an issue for us as we only stayed for two nights. The free chocolate was a nice touch. Staff were very friendly, and were always happy to help.

The double bed in apartment 405 is a small queen with one side of the bed facing the wall making it a very cozy experience for two people. Unfortunately, when two people take a shower right after each other the bathroom is likely to flood due to a poor drain and getting warm water might take a few minutes. According to Booking.com payment by credit card is possible however we had to pay in cash which forced us to withdraw money from an ATM, of course the withdrawal fee was not deducted from the hotel price.
