Snegar Apartments

This was an exceptional stay! If I could give this place a score of 20, I would! The panoramic view over Ohrid made our mornings with coffee and our evenings absolutely magical. The hospitality of the host went far beyond our expectations. They helped us with so many things, and I can honestly say this is the best host we’ve ever encountered over the years. ​Before arrival, we received precise directions on WhatsApp, which made everything so easy. The apartment has everything you could possibly need, the beds are incredibly comfortable, and there is free parking. There is also a lovely shared garden for the two apartments.

We will Definitely be staying here again, the location could not be any more perfect, the room very comfortable and private yet beautiful, and the host was helpful as could be. Staying here made our whole trip absolutely great because we could walk to Everything we wanted, yet it was quiet and let us rest when the rest of the city was still bustling. We can't wait to be back, and this will absolutely be our top choice to stay at again.

The best part of the Snegar Apartments is their view of lovely Lake Ohrid and the outdoor table from which you can enjoy your breakfast or a cocktail while also delighting in the view.. Owner Igor was there to meet us, gave us information on what to see and do, and was delightful. The apartment is small but accommodating; great shower and comfy bed.

As other previous renters have observed, finding Snegar is no mean feat! it is in the upper portion of the old town on quite a steep street with one parking spot. Walking from there down into the lower portion of the old town is more than doable; it's the return trip that requires stamina. The one time we walked down, we returned by taxi. Locking and unlocking the apartment door is really tricky. We struggled with it.

Great view, very cute (shared) garden, nice rooms, chatty owners. Good location in old town Ohrid.

Not very clean, even though it felt fresh (probably due to recent renovation). Bathroom lacking rug, so water spilled everywhere when showering, the small towel that was placed on the floor didn't help much. There is no more than ONE parking space, if cars are to not block each other. So come first get first for the parking. Quite the walk from center to the room up on the hill, but for the amazing view and cozy streets it was worth it for us.
