Fantastic find, great value for money; service, standards and food all to a very high standard

Great spacious car park, warm welcome on arrival, lovely meal in the restaurant with really hot food, service matched the food, an open log fire to retire to, high standards of hygiene all round and comfy mattress and power shower the next morning .

We stayed in the Wrekin room and the width space between the beds and wall and bathroom were tight; overall it was fairly cosy… maybe a different room layout might create more space in the room.

Peaceful surroundings, comfortable room and a pub/restaurant. What’s not to love?

Lovely place. Extremely well appointed and comfortable rooms - especially the bed. Smashing staff. Nice pub and restaurant. Food was delicious. I’d go back just for the breakfast which was one of the best. Thanks to all.

Shame about the 10 o’clock check out. Other than that it was a perfect stay.

There was a very dirty big dog in the bar which settled down on one of the seats. Dogs should not be allowed inside an establishment serving food and drink.

Thoroughly Recommended

Very clean and comfortable bedroom. Friendly helpful staff. A cosy bar to sit in before eating and a smart restaurant with good food for dinner. A perfect stop off point for us on our way home to the south coast from the north of England.

Only a tiny niggle Small area of sealant missing from bottom of shower which looked a little mouldy. Would not take many minutes to repair but would make a difference in finish of bathroom

Did everything i wanted it to do.

Nice location, 12 mins from Telford in the morning. Excellent, freshly cooked breakfast and meals both days. .

My only comment would be the room was too hot despite the thermostat being all the way down meaning I left the sliding door to the Juliet balcony all night. For me personally the bed was too soft.

Convenient location for the ironbridge Gorge

The breakfasts were very good, the smoked salmon was a very generous portion & delicious.

The room was a little cold when we arrived, but warmed up nicely after about 3 hours, presumable the under-foor heating takes time to respond.

Overnight at The Huntsman Little Wenlock

Visiting relatives in Telford. Have used the Huntsman for meals in the past but never stayed. Very friendly staff, check in prompt. Room excellent, comfortable bed. Very quiet after closing time no sound from other rooms, everything you need for an overnight stay. Had a light meal in the bar area (nice roaring fire going). Meal/Service was good. Breakfast excellent, my husband had English breakfast and I had scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, both excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect mini break. Good access to Shropshire and the Midlands.

We have stayed here before and loved it, hence our return. The location is superb. The food is delicious and ALL the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will be returning.

Very good stay but very small bed

Breakfast was excellent. Location very good for our needs.

The real disappointment was the small double bed. The room was big enough to accommodate a king size bed. The TV was very small.

Lovely, quiet location with comfortable room, delicious breakfast and ample parking.

The breakfast was tasty and hearty. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room comfortable and shower had a constant temperature.

We had a double bed but as we are used to a king sized bed was a little small.
