Upon arrival we found a parking space and checked in. The lady who showed us to our room was very friendly, professional and polite. The room was spotless(room 1) and very nice. The room is at the front of the building but you don’t really hear the traffic. We didn’t have food there, but it looked very good. The bar is well stocked and a good selection of draught beers and cider. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The bed was a little firm for me, but my partner was fine with it

Very cosy and comfortable. The staff were lovely.
The only negative I had was I arrived at 2.40 for a 3pm check in and there was no one there, I was hoping to leave my bags.

Lovely room. Wasn’t expecting breakfast but a hamper was provided and real milk for tea and coffee!
The outside window was smashed/cracked. Real shame as wasn’t nice to look at. Thankfully secondary glazing stopped it being draughty.

I recently stayed only for 1 night whilst working. The place is very welcoming and the lady behind the hotel bar was really friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and large, a large TV, fridge with complimentary milk, water and yoghurts for breakfast, as they don't serve breakfasts at the hotel in the morning, along with a very generous and well put together breakfast hamper containing cereals, fruit, and croissants. The room was very clean, warm, with a good shower.
Although the hotel doesn't serve food on a Monday (The night I stayed), the food served the rest of the week is very highly spoke of by the locals. Instead I had a nice 10 minute walk up the road to the Wicketts pub, which served excellent food. The hotel baris friendly and welcoming and the prices are superb considering.
It's a lovely old Hotel in a nice, quiet location and I'll be visiting again

What was there not to like … very welcoming from the moment I walked through the door. The room was lovely, exceded all expectations. Fresh milk for drinks in the room was a big bonus … a small thing but so much better than the usual hotel milk!
Nothing …

Liked the appearance of the building on the outside. A cute rural Inn.
Provided with a "back door" key so that we could come and go as we pleased.
Free coffee in lounge.
No lift and room was on second floor.Quite a lot of stairs to negotiate.
I love a full English breakfast, not muesli and sickly sweet pretend croissant served in a basket.Provision of tea and coffee pouches is mean as is 1 small orange juice between 2 people.
Largest criticism is "Housekeeping" ( in pairs) banging on the door at exactly 11am bellowing "Checkout".
I spent most of my working life staying in hotels from finest to basic. There is always a relaxed attitude to checkout time. The bullying from "Housekeeping" coloured my entire judgement on my stay.

Absolutely fabulous team, very clean room and I loved the little breakfast hamper which had more choice than your typical buffet breakfast.
The kitchen closed at 20:00 but the staff were very helpful and helped me to order food in.

Easy to access off the M54. Clean, quiet, receptive and tastefully decorated. Perfect for my two night stay for work locally. I will definitely stay again.
Nothing, everything was good

The breakfast hamper was excellent. Really good idea to have a hamper in the room instead of having to go to the dining room. Saves time and effort. Good choice of food, orange juice in the fridge and plenty milk.
Nothing. It was all good,

Cosy and welcoming old inn. Staff were great, food was excellent and very reasonably priced. Great selection of wines at reasonable prices. Rooms were well designed and spotless. Breakfast hamper was a lovely bonus.
Only negative is there is no lift so difficult for elderly or disabled to access first and second floor rooms.

The rooms were lovely, the staff were welcoming and very nice and made all our family and friends feel at home, the price was really good, will definitely stay again.
The place was excellent, however I would say it would be perfect 10/10 if we’d had a cooked breakfast rather than the continental. The continental was nice though, nice selection of cereal, croissants etc

The property is finished to a very high standard, breakfast basket was excellent and room was well furnished
The road outside was noisy, the secondary double glazing was old and didn’t fit well, and the continual drumming bass from the music meant sleep wasn’t possible until the noise went off

Not 5 star but thinking there maybe better rooms in the hotel. No lift and steep stairs. Small bathroom. No where to hang wet towels . Toilet to tight to radiator.

Easy parking and check in. Nice breakfast hamper. Fridge in room. Comfortable bed
Windows wouldn’t stay open when in heatwave. No fan in room. Lots of stairs but we can still do it. Bit of traffic noise but I’m going deaf anyway
