i put it down to one of those days

Staff Friendly and helpful

room was freezing - staff tried to help but only answer was to leave key in room and hopefully it would warm up while i had food, it warmed enough that i could take my jacket off i had lamb and was told it would be pink and asked was i ok with that?? i said yes, it was so over cooked i got the manager but the veg was stone cold!! i was in a disabled room the the shower area had not been cleaned in a while grime in the corners

Poor customer service, rooms need attention

Convenient location for a wedding we were attending.

Didn’t fulfill our bed requests despite saying the would. Dirty, there had obviously been a leak in the bathroom so the bathroom floor squelched. We had booked breakfast but on arrival were told that a hot breakfast wouldn’t be possible due to issues with the kitchen. We were promised a refund for the breakfast but it’s been over a month, we’ve had no refund and now they just ignore my attempts to contact them.

Stayed once before when visiting friends. This time unfortunately it was for a funeral so booked one night as our journe

Closeness to friends and the town. The restaurant and bar just in the car park, petrol station nearby.

The shower head is way too high, couldn’t have a shower so had a bath. Not many toiletries, no shampoo, conditioner, soap etc.

Absolutely amazing place really liked that the hotel part was separate from the restaurant and bar so made it very peaceful and easy to sleep

Pleasant but not the best

The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good

We were allocated the wrong type of room for one of the party. I requested an accessible room which was confirmed by email but an accessible room wasn't allocated and my elderly mother had to use a standard room for the first night. Due to the helpfulness of the staff she was able to change rooms for the second night The curtains and shower curtain were not fixed properly, the bathroom needs decorating

New year stay.

Clean,comfortable and close to pub for breakfast and dinners.Staff were friendly,vegetarian breakfast and continental breakfasts were tried,very nice. We also tried a main meal in the restaurant while there,also very nice.

There was no heating in the room on arrival....it was Xmas and cold.....we asked to put it on they did but on a timer so went off after a while......fine most of the time,but could get cold at night sometimes. Otherwise we had a good stay and would probably use it again.

Close to where we needed to be (family) , clean and tidy. Reasonable price

Original room not ready, room had not been cleaned. Shower curtain had seen better days and the kettle was In need of descaling. Deadlock on door wasn’t working properly

Clean, comfortable and affordable.

Breakfast and dinner perfectly good and reasonably priced. Restaurant is across the car park from the hotel block itself. Pretty much the same as you'd see at any Travel Lodge/Premier Inn style hotel with a Brewers Fayre/Beefeater type restaurant attached. Coffee in room was good quality Taylor's coffee filter bags! Much better than the normal instant sachets you get in other hotels so that was a MASSIVE plus for me!

My allocated room actually had a wheelchair accessible toilet and I asked if it was possible to be changed as I am not a wheelchair user and prefer a bathtub, but unfortunately they were fully booked on all nights of my stay. Not a massive issue and in fact, I was able to raise the shower head a lot higher than normal which is a bonus, given that I am 6ft 3! As it's a small hotel with maybe 20-30 rooms, its understandable that my room could not be changed at short notice, so it wasn't really a problem. A very minor issue was the door handle to the bathroom was loose but still functional but I don't know how frequently their maintenance checks are done so this may well get picked up at the next one. Bed was comfortable, room was cleaned every day and all coffee, milk etc was replenished. Best part of my stay, w as watching Scotland qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2026 on the TV in my room!

Affordable, no fuss, easy access and convenient.

Bathroom needed a little attention possible water ingress on wall and the floor had a soft spot by the bath tub with a damp smell coming from it. We had to keep the door closed to stop the damp smell circulating the main room.

The beds are single rather than Twin beds. Could have done with coak hooks by the door. I was a little disappointed that dispenser over the barh was all in one, as i woupd bough my own shampoo and conditioner, if the description was clear.

No cereal and continental breakfast for gluten free. No side plates by toaster. Only one entry card was supplied at checkin, wvhen hubby went for vape he took the card to get back in, so person left in room had no lights er

Comfy stay at The Fallowfield.

Room spacious and clean with very comfy 5ft bed. Good size TV. Food was ok and good value for money.

The pub got so busy on a Friday and Saturday night so no seating available for just a quiet drink. I member of staff was Kurt to us on our first morning for breakfast. Other staff were lovely, polite and cheerful.

No lift. Didn't know there was going to be very loud entertainment whilst dining on Friday evening. Breakfast was ok, but the three levels of pricing of Breakfast options was too complex. It was cheap enough for the full English without trying to create less expensive combinations.

Good value stay.

The room was basic but ok and the location was perfect for my needs. Always good to find a bath as well as a shower, so happy with this, and another nice touch was the addition of quality coffee bags on the tea tray.
