Lovely garden to have a cold drink after a 3hr drive! Welcoming and friendly staff. Clear and well equipped bedroom. Food very good.

The bar was noisy until closing time.

It was a beautiful looking pub, the staff were so lovely, we were greeted by the manager who was so welcoming and showed us to our room which was decorated beautifully, the bed was incredibly comfortable, it was so cosy, we had a little welcoming basket which was filled with delicious treats! It was so clean, smelled clean! Absolutely outstanding for such an affordable price! I would definitely recommend this property

Very cozy with a mix of old style buildings but nicely modernized. Bed was huge and comfy. Nice inside the pub and good outside area. The young lady who checked us in and served breakfast was lovely. Brekky was good and included in our stay which I didn’t think it was so bonus there.

Food was overpriced and not the greatest for what you pay. I enjoyed my Gammon, but the pizza we ordered wasn’t good at all. Seemed to be a frozen pizza and cost £13. You get much better in Iceland for less than £3!

Friendly staff

We’ve stayed here for years. The decor was always amazing, but oh dear, things have started to change especially decor wise and it’s awful! Shiny gold paper in the foyer, random items and awful new lampshades in the dining room, upside down in places ! The designer originally put in black out Roman blinds etc for a good nights sleep, in all the rooms we have stayed in here, the room we were in ( and had stayed in before) had been redone and it’s awful, double bed in a shiny cheap velvet, very cheap printed cushions and wallpaper and awful Moroccan lights you can’t read with, and the most awful wall decor, it’s such a shame, on top of that it was so hot in the room, and the new cheap zebra blind let the light in at 5am!! Also on arrival at 7:45pm we asked to dine, we had checked online the food was until 8 now, were told we couldn’t order( they did in fairness change their mind when we were bout to leave to go and find food having driven 5 hours to get there ) I said I had checked online and it said 8 pm and they said that’s the old owners website ?! Again with old owners, the food was until later in the evening , breakfast was good quality but again only three choices now , no Benedict etc as before with previous owners I’ve always given this place a 10/10 for the last four years, but won’t be staying again Such a shame
