Fantastic stay, wonderful staff and great food

The staff were absolutely fantastic, and really made our stay special. The food was super, and we were happy with our room. I think it was excellent value for money. We were visiting Telford and really happy with the location.

Slightly dated in areas, and the outside could do with some TLC although none of this detracted from our stay, we would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was adequate for work stay over night.

Initially I was given a room that had not been serviced as there was still a breakfast left previous day and the bed had not been changed. On arriving back at the hotel the room was not very warm. This was also the same in the dinning room for dinner,

Great customer service in a homely hotel

Good old fashioned outstanding customer service. Small Hotel with a homely feel and beds really comfortable. Nice to have breakfast cooked to order.

Breakfast the beacon was burnt and like rubber, but that's the only thing wrong with the stay. If you struggle with stairs ask to be in the extention rather than the original building, as expected the Georgian building does not have a lift to the upper rooms. The friendly staff will carry your bags but do let them know I advance if you have issues with stairs. The staff make the place, any needs we had were dealt with promptly and politely.

Holding a wedding on a Thursday night With no regard to paying hotel guests. Blasting music till midnight Shouting screaming people outside my window.

Delightful and relaxing.

Set in a beautiful garden. It had a really homely atmosphere and the ambiance was very down to earth, by that I simply mean no over the top, insincere fawning, no pat set comments from staff, which smacks of such insincerity in so many of the chain Hotels. Geraldine also was so helpful in returning a phone charger, I had left plugged in and had forgotten.

We had a throughly enjoyable time at the wedding and your venue and staff made a major contribution

Excellent venue and staff. Staff could not have been more helpful throughout the day of varied demands placed upon them by the wedding day. I would certainly recommend to friends and family

Slight scruffiness of the seal around our bath. Air conditioning was quite cold during the meal and evening-I appreciate it was a hot day so it would be difficult to regulate this correctly

Lovely stay and the food was beautiful compliments to the chef

The staff were very welcoming and even though they had a wedding taking place the next day they did not seem to get flustered and morning of wedding breakfast was not rushed and was very relaxed atmosphere.

The service at dinner in the restaurant. My food was brought out 10minutes before my partners. We weren't offered water on the table, we weren't offered more drinks when our glasses were empty, generally not attentive and seemed a bit disinterested. Also the food was a little tasteless for both me and my partner.

Disappointing and not for a work trip.

Clean, smart

No mention online that it is primarily a wedding venue. Turned up to stay for two nights for work and Friday night wedding carried on late. Had to walk through the wedding party to my room. Staff very unwelcoming that first night. Then breakfast only served after half 8, once again not mentioned online.

Had to eat in the hotel as nowhere within walking distance to eat. Food was good standard. Breakfast was ok. Not had a cooked breakfast for a while but we’re disappointed as bacon was a little fatty and sausage was not very warm. Service was very good.
