Large bedroom, plenty of storage. Tea/coffee etc., hairdryer provided. Very comfortable double bed, with extra blankets if needed. Radiators to keep warm. Large bathroom with bath and shower. Very clean. Good large breakfast. Excellent, friendly staff.
Room was cold on arrival and had to request boiler to be switched on. Didn't realise that the bar was closed after 4pm on Sundays.
Bedrooms in a building next door to restaurant and bar. Stairs to gain access, no problem for us, but if disabled....

Breakfast was lovely and the room was warm for such a frosty night.
Mattress was far too soft! Could also hear the people upstairs in the evening but I don't think that can be avoided.

we had breakfast and lunch and the food and service was excellent
just a touch of detail, for example the handle on the toilet door needed fixing.

They stay at the Water Rat was lovely .
The staff were very helpful friendly and nothing too much trouble when it came to breakfast.
The only issue we had was the bed was too hard for us.
Everything else was excellent and I don't say that often.
The bed was too hard

Property was beautifully presented. Clean and comfortable. Rooms were of a good size. Fab bed. Would definitely recommend.
Light around the door in room 3 was very bright. It was shining quite brightly at night into our bedroom from the hall/landing area.

the bed was not a 'extra large'

Great location within easy walking distance of ironbridge . Absolutely charming lady who looked after us all at breakfast, extremely attentive. Room /bathroom was very clean .
Our room faced the road and was therefore on the noisy side . Room looked newly furnished but mattress was not particularly comfortable ( felt like a basic, cheap mattress)would definitely recommend upgrading it. No communal lounge in B&B, so outside of pub/restaurant opening hours no communal area to use.

A very freindly and welcoming stay. The interior of the main building was delightful . Spacious bar and dining area overlooking the garden and the Severn river.
My room was recently decorated in neutral colours, very well equipped. Large bathroom with shower and bath. Separate loo. Ample supply of coffee and tea
and biscuits. I felt spoilt! I would highly recommend it!
I think the only downside was the opening times, I arrived at 10am to their ample car park and had to go into the town for coffee/loo !
I was forwarned that the opening times were 12-3 & 5-9 so I should have taken that in.

Nice countryside location.
Not really the fault of the place, but it was very difficult to get a taxi to Telford. I ended up having to pay £26 on a pre-booked uber to get to town 10 mins away having waited 40 mins for a Veezu local taxi that never came then a standard uber for which no driver was found. Best suited to people coming by car.

Nice location
Bed was not a standard double was more like a queen size bed. So wasn’t a comfortable night sleep! Bathroom was up a set of stairs from the bed section with a couple of awkward door ways not ideal. large cobwebs around the bath room.

The staff were very friendly. The room was large and comfortable with seating (rooms without a chair is my personal bugbear). The food was good and homemade. We didn;t use the garden as it was cold but it looked lovely and had a great view. Breakfast was good with a very nice sausage The room and bathroom were very clean
There was a problem with the outside door where the rooms were situated and it wouldn't open. They managed to open it but the lock would not work so it had to be left unlocked, fortunately the rooms all had their own locks so it did not feel too unsafe. The shower was over the bath and the bath was very deep which made climbing in and out difficult. There was a hand rail but this was a bit too far forward as the shower screen did not move so that was a slight downside

The bed was very uncomfortable, we booked and paid for family room with extra large bed and we got a normal size bed and room, when query it that said it was a mis print on booking.com. yet did not offer us a refund. Also on the advert it says it is renowned for its steakhouse of which it is not. The 2 reasons we booked this hotel. ended up driving in to Telford to the Miller and Carter.

Food, staff and location all excellent.
Great evening meal, delicious and plenty of it,breakfast was cooked fresh and again, plentiful.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Very comfortable room, which was spotless and spacious.
Nothing to grumble about !!!

Although the breakfast menu was limited, the cooked breakfast was very good quality. The evening meals again were very good and excellent choice. Special offers on certain foods with drinks, great value.
The bedoom had two radiators which didn't work, we had to rely on the bathroom radiator for heat.
The shower was lovely but couldn't use it on full power as the water didn't drain away quick enough, feared it would flood the bathroom floor. Apparently a common complaint with room no 1 !!

Breakfast was very tasty although very small window of 1 hour for breakfast.
Plenty of free parking
Lovely setting especially during the warmer weather.
Bed far to soft - nearly fell out twice! No wardrobe, only one bedside lamp.
Room needs some TLC - overall shabby with obvious damp stains and mould on bathroom ceiling, no lock on toilet door, tile grout stained and needs redoing, clear glass in bathroom window even though there was a blind, very unpleasant smell in toilet - possibly floor adhesive., shoddy workmanship generally.
No local info offered by staff - ie the river walk into Ironbridge was not pointed out which would have been preferable to the main road.

Really friendly staff, comfortable, spacious room, lovely breakfast
Mattress in room no 6 is rather too soft! We could hear the people in the room above us. We could even hear them yawn and when someone was having a shower!

Location was convenient to the village and had a restaurant on site. Great value for money with full breakfast being included in the price. Pillows and duvet very comfortable and the room was clean and comfortable.
The rooms are situated in a separate building to the pub on a very busy road so if you had a room at the front then you couldn’t leave the window open at night due to the noise. Shower over the bath with shower curtain which we dislike and only one soap dispenser to cover both sink area and the shower. Surely there should be two? Big bugbear of mine was that the mirror was on the right hand side of the dressing table not over the dressing table and the plug sockets were to the left hand side of the dressing table so there was no way to dry your hair whilst actually looking into the mirror! Just WHY???!

The cappuccino coffee was quite good
There was no fone signal which was essential for our ability to call emergency services if necessary as a vulnerable 85 yr with leukemia.
The room we were offered was not in the main part of the hotel but in a building next door and immediately alongside the main road. Access was up stone steps from the pavement through a front door with an access code into a small hallway leading to a steep flight of stairs up a narrow stairwell to the bedroom.
There was a step and a further flight of steep steps and narrow stairwell to the ensuite! All the fittings and floor coverings appeared dated and worn.
We tried to make a fone call to friends we were visiting which was impossible and quickly decided this was an unacceptable accomodation. We returned to reception explaiined our concerns principally lack of fone signal and left. Our credit card was subsequently deducted for the full charge.
We have never experienced such unacceptable accomodation ever! This then required us to urgently find something else at short notice with at least a fone signal. An unforgettable event in our lives!!!

The cooked breakfast was good quality produce , plenty of coffee /toast.
Quiet location , good parking.
Would have liked some fresh fruit or tinned grapefruit as alternative to cereals and only jam available for toast. Our room had low ceiling and we could hear people in room above very clearly walking about and talking etc .Realise it's an old building so has creaky floors!

Rooms have been newly refurbished so everything fresh. It’s close to Ironbridge so a good location. Plenty of parking spaces. Staff friendly( particularly Julie at breakfast ). Good evening meal in house. Breakfast amazing, plenty of it.
Our room (no 5), up a flight of stairs, was road facing so leaving the windows open overnight was not an option. Too much road noise. Also, we had split level en suite so had several stairs to negotiate to get to the bathroom. The security door into the accommodation annex needed to be slammed shut on exit so this proved to be noisy with the comings and goings of the other guests. The rooms are in a separate building to the pub so you have to walk outside to get to breakfast.

We also had an excellent evening meal in the restaurant.

Stayed as B&B guest with my husband to use as base for exploring area. Room was well equipped, clean and very comfortable. Restaurant was excellent, generous meal portions and good value for money. Breakfast was also good. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially Amelia (bar/restaurant) and Manager Sarah who both went above and beyond to make our stay memorable
Could hear traffic if had window open, although during the evening there wasn’t much so did not interfere with sleeping. If window closed could not hear anything, so this really was a minor inconvenience.

The bed was very comfortable. A fan had been provided. The carpets were new.
The stairs were quite steep to the upstairs rooms if I had known i would have booked a downstairs room .
The bathroom hadn't really been finished off as the skirting under the bath needed painting which was a shame as the room was nice.

Location was in a quiet area .Room very spacious and had all you needed. Bed was very comfortable. Excellent heavy curtains, so no light at night shone through.Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent and plentiful. Great full English for breakfast and a good selection to choose from. Was great that you can walk into Ironbridge along the river from footpath beside pub garden. Lots of leaflets about things to see and do.
Bathroom needed a little more attention to detail on cleaning. Would have preferred mugs to cup and saucer. Website needs updating as states a continental breakfast, which may put people off.
