Couldn’t fault it , loved the room and a great breakfast with great service

Place was superb from start to finish. Top drawer culture exists amongst the team, who can’t do enough for you and the best cooked breakfast I’ve had in years.

Nicely situated by the river but no parking, we had a good meal there on the evening and the atmosphere in general was nice. We stayed in room 6 but it was so noisy from a generator of some sorts which spoiled our stay.
4.0 / 10.0
The room was excellent. Lovely view and peaceful during the night (once closing time came but people chatter wasn't an issue beforehand). The bathroom was big and spacious and nice to have a separate bath and shower. Bed was really comfy. Only issue for us was breakfast was disappointing. On arrival we were told breakfast was between 9 and 10. We are early risers and do prefer an earlier breakfast but thats personal choice. However, on being seated we noticed others had already eaten and found out they'd been allowed an earlier breakfast which we would've loved but wasn't offered. Our order was taken, however it took 40 minutes to arrive. As time was tight due to car parking issues i had to leave to put additional parking on before returning to breakfast. Other guests expressed concern over the time their breakfasts were arriving due to the same parking payment issue. The food was plentyful, however the poached egg was proper hard and dry, the black pudding tasteless and the poached tomato was whole but hard. Overall a lovely stay but let down at breakfast. On checkout i wasn't asked how the stay was otherwise i'd have said then instead of now in this review.

Good location and typical pub with rooms.
Details said parking available at surcharge in fact it is available but not on site it’s the local car parks so better clarity on that.
Staff all great and helpful and good food

I booked this charming old authentic hotel-pub with a few rooms for my husband’s birthday and had mentioned in advance that a small gesture like maybe a card to mark the occasion would be appreciated. I was told something might be arranged, but in the end, nothing was done — a small disappointment, though not enough to spoil the stay.
Our room was very clean and recently renovated, with a spacious bathroom. However, although I’d booked a yard-facing room to avoid noise, it still turned out to be quite loud. The hotel faces both the River Severn and a busy road, and at 2 a.m. we could even hear cars racing — not exactly relaxing! If you’re sensitive to noise, this may not be the ideal choice.
The listing mentions parking, but in reality there is none. The full English breakfast was generous in portion, but fairly standard. There were no hot alternatives, just a selection of cereals with milk and yogurt.
Overall, service was good, and with just a few tweaks this could have been an even more special experience.

Really friendly staff, mattress wasnt the best a spring kept ‘boinging!’ And bathroom was cleanish but very very tired looking.

Nice & convenient. Shows potential but could be much nicer if attention to detail. Loose creaky headboard. Good breakfast.

Great stay in Ironbridge - easy parking across the river - Good food.
Old building so not soundproof rooms, but a great stay in a top location by the river

I highly recommend The White Hart. I arrived early but they let me check in immediately as the room was ready. Lovely view across to the river. Delish breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble for ANY of the staff in all the different areas of the hotel. Loved my short stay. Thank you.

The hotel was in a great position and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble when asked.

One night stay as visiting family nearby. Hotel is fine just difficult to get to due to due to flooding defences which obviously can’t be helped. Ironbridge is a very interesting place with lots to see

I did not stay in the establishment because I was unable to walk from the car park ( which you had to pay for) back to the hotel with my luggage. Had I known that before I booked I would not have used this hotel.

We rated the White Hart as an excellent place to stay, we could not fault it. The bedroom overlooked the river, was large, clean and tidy. We had a meal in the restaurant the first night which was very good, the staff were friendly and service was great. The breakfast was a full English and we also requested porridge which was not on the menu, however the staff brought it in the following morning especially for us. The White Hart is in the centre of Ironbridge and close to all other attractions.

Great staff. Quality food, breakfast and evening meals.
5.0 / 10.0
We booked a low cost room, however it was comfortable. The 5 star rating reflects the service received and the quality of the food (both breakfast & dinner). Staff were extremely polite and attentive. In line with other Ironbridge hotels adjacent to the river, car parking is free for 40 minutes immediately outside the establishment, with free parking overnight in the short stay car park (2 minutes walk) from 5pm to 10am, therefore we incurred no parking charges.

Wonderful stay in picturesque inn. You might need a guide to find your room, but, once found, it will comfortable and bright with all you need. Breakfasts are great, as is the restaurant, and the staff were cheerful and helpful! The location is an added bonus as it is very picturesque.

Good location close to the Iron Bridge and local shops. Access to room was ok but a little maze like to carry luggage. Advert suggested parking but this was either on the road if you could get space or public car park 1/4 mile away. Water in room was either extreme hot to freezing cold with a hair width movement of shower tap. Biggest thing for me was the rather musky smelling room on arrival which did not seem to go away. Food was ok at dinner but expect 10% service charge and at breakfast I was asked how I would like my eggs cooked but only received one, with one rasher of bacon, one sausage which to me was a little stingy.

Room itself was perfectly clean. Bed comfortable, shower good and vegetarian breakfast lovely. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The room was quite noisy until 11pm (when the pub closes, the hand dryer in the pub toilets must be immediately under the bed!) but after 11pm, really quiet all night. Hallways seem to smell of stale smoke (which is odd given how long it's been banned for), but the room itself wasn't an issue.
This was about half the price friends staying further along the same road were paying, very good value for money. Thank you.

Generally, all was sound with the room and the property overall. Lovely setting and great looking pub with good selection of beers and wines etc. Business travellers beware of the "late" breakfast (normal 0800-0900) which can be pre-ordered for 0730 (if you are aware). Also, was not possible to get food after 8pm so I missed both dinner and breakfast - the joys of working away!

The rooms are very comfortable, once you have passed through the hallway. The inn was quiet in the evening and convenient to the Iron Bridge and to the Bedlam furnaces. There are more nice walks across the river.
Both the evening meal and the more-than-full English breakfast were excellent!

Stunning room in the recently refurbished new section with a really comfy bed , wonderful bathroom my only negative was that the room was a little cold date of visit 23/01/24
but would highly recommend and definitely stay again
8.0 / 10.0
Good central position parking nearby in public carpark but a bit difficult to drop of large amounts of luggage outside the property. Towel left behind the door from previous guests. Shower above the bath but no non-slip bathmat this would have been helpful. Food in the restaurant excellent.

The room was nice, but the heating didn’t work. The walls were also very thin so the toilet and shower were quite loud from the room next door. Wifi was sporadic and non existent at times.

My hubby and I had a fabulous overnight stay at the White Hart . The location is perfect . It is within a few minutes walk of the Ironbridge , shops and cafe’s. There is no on site parking , but there is a long stay car park approx 5mins walk away that charges £4 for an overnight stay . As for the White Hart….the staff are friendly and very helpful . The rooms are delightful. Well ours certainly was . It was spacious and spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed , and a large fan to keep the room cool if necessary . Our evening meal was standard pub fayre, but was reasonably priced and delicious . The breakfast was also of a high standard. There is so much to do and see in the area that we will be returning for a longer stay in the near future .We will
have no hesitation in staying at the White Hart again , and have already recommended it to friends

Stayed for 3 nights. Our room was very large, clean and comfortable. All the staff we encountered were friendly and very helpful. Good location close to the iron bridge (in Ironbridge), overlooking the river Severn. Very good breakfast each morning. Although there is no on-site car-parking, a long stay car park (Dark Lane) just the other side of the Ironbridge is within easy walking distance for £4/day - overnight 5pm to 10am is free. (The actual Ironbridge is only open for pedestrians so the drive to the car-park is quite a bit longer than the walk but it's no bother).
We ate in the on-site restaurant on 2 of the nights. The food, service and value for money were excellent.
4.0 / 10.0
We could not fault the service, friendliness, food or cleanliness of the Bar and Bistro section of the White Hart.
However the room we stayed in smelled musty, the bathroom had an awful smell, when we asked about it, we were told it could be a drainage issue, while we can appreciate the age of the building, the room needs an update, one of the roof windows wouldn’t open, luckily one did, the bathroom was clean, but very tatty and dated. Also it was noisy, being at the back of the building possibly above the beer pumps or fridges. The noise only stopped for a short while in the night then started again early morning making it difficult to get a good nights sleep.
On a positive note, the bed linen and towels were perfectly clean. The staff were very accommodating, we would definitely stay here again but in a different room.

Perfect location for our stay in Ironbridge
3.0 / 10.0
When we arrived at the pub there was quite a crowd outside but inside it was quiet so when we arrived at our room it seemed peaceful. When we returned in the evening the pub was full and due to that the toilets were in full use. Every time someone used the hand dryers it sounds like they were in our bedroom.
The room was well laid out but the finer details, that were missed, reduced the comfort of stay, for instance the bathroom door which is next to the bed doesn't fully close. The velux blind was broken so as soon as the sun came up it woke us up and all the TV channels said there wasn't any signal bar a news channel.
Over the staff were lovely, especially the lady who helped us at breakfast when we needed to leave before the allotted breakfast time, but the rooms need a bit more attention to detail and a bit more soundproofing.

The food was cooked perfectly and presented very well. Our room was very clean with everything you could need for a comfortable stay.

Loved our stay here. Hotel was lovely. Friendly staff. Beautiful location
3.0 / 10.0
The White Hart is generally OK and the bedroom was comfortable, but it's disappointing that there was no hot water on the morning of our stay, so we couldn't shower, the heating didn't work in the bathroom and that the staff were too young and inexperienced to manage the problem when we told them at check out. We messaged the hotel twice to complain and received no response on either occasion. We stayed in room 2. Also worth noting that an iron burn on the bedroom carpet and a huge stain on the lino on the bathroom floor really need to be dealt with. It completely undermines the 'superior' description of the room.

The hotel had no onsite parking it was freezing cold in the rooms booked two rooms at the cost £140 both myself and colleague didn’t sleep all night as it was so cold no food or drink available as the Bar and Restaurant was closed at 6pm without any notice or warning.

Absolutely brilliant night away with my husband. The room was just perfect and was very comfortable. The hotel is in a beautiful location and although there is no on site parking its just a short walk over the iron bridge to a long stay carpark and it cost us £2.40. The parking is free over night. Its an old building but the room felt fresh and modern and the staff were all very friendly a d welcoming.
