Brilliant good value and service and great food

The pub was lovely.very friendly and hard working attentive staff! We stayed in the family room which was fantastic with 2 separate rooms joined and 2 teles! Ate in the pub in the evening and the food was lovely and the breakfast was lovely especially the waffles..say the kids! Thank you we will be coming again !****

It was close to our friend. The staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good pub food. Breakfast options were varied and plentiful. The room was clean and tidy and the bed comfortable.

The property is looking very dated and tired. Could do with a bit of revamping (paint) to give it a fresh look.

A pleasure from start to finish - thanks to all the staff.

It was sparkling clean everywhere, bed was really comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful. Vegerarian breakfast was delicious, especially the field mushrooms and free range eggs.

Wooden furniture in bedroom 3 was old & battered - plus a couple of mats for mugs would have been useful.

Hidden Gem

This place is a real gem, tucked away in what appears to be a residential area. Staff were warm and friendly throughout our stay. Beautifully decorated throughout in a traditional style. Our room was a good size with power shower in bathroom. Great view to the estuary. Bed so comfy I had best sleep I'd had in ages. We had dinner downstairs and the food is wholesome and very tasty. I would absolutely stay here again if I'm back in the area. This place really is excellent value for money.

Just what we needed as our overnight stay Comfortable and friendly

The staff are all friendly and very helpful Nothing was too much trouble

The food at dinner could have been hotter and was surprised that at the time of year we were given what were obviously frozen sprouts and although the waitress was very nice we would have preferred her not to be showing her bare midriff and we were surprised that last orders for drinks at the bar was called at 21.30 even though we were resident so had to retire to our room Also we did request a ground floor room but were given 1st floor room

Lovely place but no sleep

The hotel is lovely and has large spacious rooms and food is very nice.

The bed was large but as hard as nails, I decided after a couple of hours of tossing and turning to sleep on top of the duvet. Unfortunately there were no other blankets provided, or pillows which were also the hard kind. This meant my only option was to use the bath towels as blankets. Result, freezing feet and no sleep. Mentioned to the manager in the morning (you can't talk yo anyone before 8.30am as the dividing doors are locked) and was just told, we'll noone else has complained. Very disappointing response. I didn't kick off, just wanted them to be aware but it fell on deaf ears.

Welcoming, and modernised to a high standard. Our room had all the facilities needed and was very clean and bright. Breakfast the following morning was excellent and plentiful, served with a smile. Overall this establishment provided excellent value for money.
