Lovely, clean and confortable. No restaurant service Monday night.

Rooms where lovely and nice and quiet apart. Very clean and modernised for an older building.

The restaurant and bar is closed on Mondays. We booked quickly so none of the party read this information on any correspondence from Booking.com which would make this glaringly obvious. Can I suggest this is put in bold in red on your website as this was unexpected.

A lovely old inn with character, boasting excellent cleanliness, lovely food and very helpful staff.

The hotel had character. The room, especially the bathroom, was spotlessly clean. The food - breakfast and dinner - was of very high quality. All the staff that I dealt with were super friendly and helpful.

The weather, but I guess this was outside the hotel's control!!

Lovely Pub..Lovely Room..Comfortable Bed..Bathroom Fab..Loved The Mirror With Lights..Food Was Good..Breakfast Excellent..Staff Friendly..Good Service

Our First Night..Difficult To Sleep..Very Noisy (Loud) From The Room Next Door The Owl Room..Until 3.30am...I Had To Bang On The Wall..Then The Noise Stopped Thankfully So We Could Get Some Sleep..They Checked Out in The Morning..So Thankfully We Slept Well in Peace Saturday Night..Other Than That It Was A Lovely Place..

I will definitely stay again!

I loved everything about this place. So cosy and clean and I had the room you are allowed to have dogs in! Very welcoming hospitality and the breakfast was great, with a lovely choice of cereals, yoghurts, continental mixed pastries and fruit while you wait for your choice of a cooked breakfast. The dinner menu I will need to try next time. Cosy timber beamed pub/hotel.

Wonderful

It is a fantastic grade II building, full of atmosphere. Staff were very welcoming. Bedroom was lovely and very clean. We had a wonderful roast dinner.

We loved our stay here. I was a bit apprehensive as it was attached to a pub but it didn’t disappoint. I would stay here again and again. Room beautiful and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food in the pub was 10/10.

Most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept in!

Beautiful property, lovely rooms, welcoming and attentive staff. The beds were so comfortable and the rooms had everything we needed. Great value for money.

My only issue was the continental breakfast, it was a little disappointing for the money. My husband had the cooked breakfast which was delicious but I don’t like a heavy meal to start the day. A few more pastries or breads would have improved it.

This was our third stay at The Barn Owl. Whenever we visit family/friends in this area, The Barn Owl is always our first choice. Karen and Gerald, along with the rest of the team, are so kind, welcoming and friendly. The rooms are just lovely. Beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and always so peaceful at night. The en-suite bathrooms are equally lovely, again spotlessly clean, with complimentary shower gel and shampoo if needed. We had dinner and breakfast as well at The Barn Owl and both equally delicious. Lovely food, beautifully presented and always piping hot. You are always made to feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Thankyou so much.

Fantastic Value and Exceptional Service

I had a lovely one-night stay here. The hotel is fantastic value for money, with gorgeous, spacious country-style rooms and brilliant service from start to finish. Dinner and breakfast were well priced and served promptly. I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area. The staff were so kind and even posted an item back to me that I had accidentally left in my room. I really could not recommend the hotel and the team enough.

Very convenient for the evening wedding event that we were attending. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely breakfast with options. Clean rooms & a good size. Coffee & tea making facilities in room, together with a bottle of water. Carparking. Definitely recommend.

For me personally I found the bed a little hard but wouldn't put me off staying again.

Mostly good

I like staying here but upset I couldn't bring my 2 tiny dogs as they only allow one per room. Apart from one waitress who was very abrupt at dinner last night. Rooms are great and bed comfortable. Pillow hard and too high, like boulders

Charming Inn with excellent food and comfortable room

It was easy to find and on our route home after a stay in Devon. The Inn itself was really charming and comfortable. All of the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. Our room was really lovely, very clean and comfortable. It was also very quiet despite being very busy, which made for an excellent night's sleep. We had dinner in the restaurant in the evening and had the best meal of our whole trip. It was reasonably priced and best of all was real, fresh, good, wholesome food. Absolutely excellent. Checkout was easy with no fuss. A truly great find, tucked away but definitely worth a stay.

The room was very adequate and very comfortable and spacious.Fully equipped

The restaurant was very over priced and the portion sizes did not justify the price.The quality of food was below average and definitely not worth the money.lasagne was £17.95 which tasted no different to the typical ping meals.The steak cost £24.50 on its own.Pepper corn sauce was an additional £3.50 extra and so was the coleslaw.should of been 10oz steak but more like 5oz..In total for these meals and 1 glass of coke and 1 pint it came to £72..
