Lovely hotel

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this charming family-run hotel. My room was cosy, impeccably clean, and exceptionally quiet, ideal for a restful stay. The hotel is very nicely decorated, which creates a welcoming and homely atmosphere. The views from the living room are lovely, adding to the overall appeal. The staff were warm and attentive, ensuring I felt truly welcomed throughout my visit. The location is also convenient, with just a five-minute walk to Torre Station and a 15-minute stroll to the heart of Torquay. I would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a comfortable and inviting place to stay in Torre/Torquay.

Lovely stay in Torquay

Bed was comfortable, shower was hot, it was nice and quiet at night. On the route of the number 12 bus and 5 mins from Torre station. Theres no need to be walking up any hills to get home. The owners are incredibly helpful, couldn't do enough for you. If you have any issues, please just ask them. Breakfast was lovely and there's lots of choices.

A little far from town for small children or elderly. Taxis were easy to hail, and so we were able to make use of these.

Claire and Stuart are friendly and kind. They provided us with a comfortable, outstandingly clean room which was serviced carefully every day. The breakfast was brilliant and to a consistent high standard with plenty of it. This is a great place to stay for access to Torquay and the area around South Devon.

Exceptional Accomodation

Hosts Claire & Stuart were very warm and welcoming, nothing too much trouble. Accommodation was excellent, very clean and comfortable. It felt like a home from home. Due to return to Torquay in a few months time and hoping that Ashwood Grange will have a vacancy for my required dates 🤞

My room was situated at the front of the building which is on a very busy, noisy main road. I am a light sleeper and found a flow of traffic through to the early hours of the morning. This doesn't affect me marking the property down, just to make other travelers aware. I was in room one.

The couple that run the the hotel are so friendly and welcoming they made the stay there very enjoya

Guest house just outside bus stop 10 minute walk from the bus station

Home away from home

Claire and Stewart were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, tidy and felt safe. There was a TV in the room and a kettle with supplies for making tea or coffee. Towels, shampoo and shower gel were provided for the ensuite shower room. The cooked breakfast was great and set me up for the day. There was plenty of information available in the reception area about places to visit whilst in the area including the buses and land train. The bus stops were very close and the sea front was a short walk of about 20 minutes. There is a lounge area for guests to use and a folder of information in the guest room regarding Ashwood Grange including wifi information. Torre railway station is about 4 minutes away.

This is a real gem, and excellent value for money. Wonderful warm welcome.

A short walk from Torre station and a lovely warm welcome, with lots of information about what to do next Everything thought of, in the room. Excellent full English breakfast. Good bus links into the town centre and the seafront. Remarkable value for money.

Rather far out of town, but a good bus service which runs late into the evening, and on Sundays. Light sleepers at the front of the building might notice noise from the road on a weekday morning.

Lovely stay!

Had a lovely 4 night stay at the end of February/early March. Hotel is in a superb position slightly out of the hustle and bustle of the town but really well connected with bus stops right outside that take you through the town to Paignton in one direction and Newton Abbot the other, also just 3 minutes walk from Torre railway station which takes you along the coast to Exeter and beyond. The room was lovely, a really comfy bed, nice shower and spotlessly clean. Cooked breakfast each day was cooked fresh each morning and was yummy, but there were lots of other choices too including cereal, juice, toast etc. All together it was a very relaxing and highly recommended hotel in which I was made to feel very welcome! Thank you, and I will be back soon...
